I know this is a weird thing to comment on, but aside from her percussive badassery, her posture behind the kit is very nice and upright. I’ve known other terrific drummers who’ve eventually developed terrible lower back pain over the years and really diminished their ability to perform for any length of time. So good for her!💪🏻🤘🏻 Also, it makes me Lmao when other reactors think she’s only like 13 or 14 yrs old.🤣

Very good breakdown. I love Junna. I wish she'd do more. Either more covers or original. Here's something maybe you can help with. I'm not a drummer. Someone in the comments of her video pointed out there's two different tones on one crash cymbal. In your video, the first is at 6:59. The next does sound a bit different. It's the crash to her right. Either way, thanks for that.

That is a very good observation! That second hit really sounds different....might have been altered in the mix or replaced with a simillar sounding sample, but i don't know why they would do that. My guess that she was supposed to hit the right crash and then the left - but she hit the right one twice. In the following part she hits right/left tho,so maybe they did it,because they wanted those parts to sound the same! :)

@@JohnG_YT Thanks man! I appreciate it. I was just curious. I didn't know if maybe crashes sound different depending on where/how you hit it like the ride, if you play in the center as opposed to the outer edge and how you can different sounds/tones out of the snare depending on how you play it. Like I said, I ain't no drummer. lol Have you seen here video before this one? Demon? I musta seen it about 30-40 times. lol

If you haven’t heard of her already you’ve got to check out Senri Kawaguchi, the most distinguished female drummer of Japan. She is also one of the youngest (at 13) to be added into the Drummerworld’s list of the Top 500 drummers in the world. She has also been featured as the cover artist on an issue of Drumhead magazine. Here’s a link to a drum solo by her kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jJuJd9t12t-vdH0.html And here’s a live of her song “Adventure” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q9igptJe3J6bpKc.html She’s an inspiration esp. as a female drummer from a non-English speaking country, to have managed to carve out a name for herself in this male dominated field of the international music scene, relying solely on her skill and dedication to the craft. Her youtube channel has all her videos from when she started more than a decade ago by doing covers of anime soundtracks, to now having released multiple albums of her own and getting to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the industry. There are also a few instructional videos by her on the Drumeo youtube channel. I have zero musical background but just watching her play so effortlessly makes me want to pick up drumming too. She honestly made me develop a new appreciation for drum focussed instrumentals and fusion, which is a completely new genre for me.

"the physics" are simple. Its about conservation of energy and efficiency of movement. the lower your foot is on the pedal the less "action" is needed from your foot/leg. the pedal is angled. higher up on the pedal requires your leg/foot to move a greater distance vertically to crank the gears to move the beaters that strike the bass drum. lower foot placement means you are closer to the start of the angle. Less distance required from your leg/foot to move the beater. you sacrifice power using a foot at the lower end of the pedal vs the ability to build up loads more energy using the higher end of the pedal and really hit that kick. Hope that helps

because your left foot is not your dominant foot so playing high makes that beat slower than the right foot. playing with the left foot back on the pedal means you dont have to push the pedal as far making the left beat in time with the faster dominant right foot.

Its funny how these so cAlled experts reacts and criticize these drummers. I guess, they just have to say something. It’s their job to get likes and ratings. I bet they wouldn’t be able to play as good as the people they are criticizing. Not even close.
