Wonderful performance by these two young marines and the musicians are marvellous. Seeing the Royal Marines Band on parade always makes me feel very proud to be British but is great to see them performing this beautiful song. Amazing. 👏👏👏👏

In times of war and in battle, the Royal Marine bandsmen and women are stretcher bearers. So even as talented musicians, they still have do their duty.

Not any more they're not. That roll ended years ago. First and foremost they're Front Line Soldiers today, and musicians last.

I'm ex Army, but hats off to the bootnecks. They are the best military musicians probably in the world. I suggest you watch them performing the theme to Gladiator. It will blow you away.

SUGGESTION: If you like this but haven't seen 'The Bands of HM Royal Marines Gladiator' you are missing a treat! They are at Royal Horse Guards Parade Ground, London, after a long day and at the end of their 'Beating Retreat' Ceremony, when they begin to play the theme from Gladiator.

If you try for the band the basic requirement is that you can play two instruments and that you have compositions of your own. If accepted for training then you will learn a third instrument, plus drill, marching as a band, you will also train in NBC and as a Medic, you will spend around 3 years in training before joining one of the Royal Marine Bands.

If you know what to look for, the female Royal Marine vocalist is wearing her Afghanistan Operational Service Medal as they all trained for "other" less glamorous roles jobs than RM Bandsmen.

Our Armed Forces make us Brits so proud to be British. HM Royal Marines band are just the best in the world. You should look up the complete concert and see it performed there. I believe it is the annual Mountbatten Albert Hall concert from either 2019 or 2020. That year the concert was to raise money and awareness for mental health. During the performance of Sounds of Silence all kinds of people, including both Royal Marine officers and troops, kids, civilian men and women with mental issues are holding signs inicating their condition. Also, at the start, those people have their mouths taped over, symbolizing their silence about their condition. Towards the ending of the somg the ones holding signs pull the tape from their mouths symbolizing awareness and recognition of their conditions. The rest of the concert is great alsp

My daughter had the privilege of playing with them when she was at school. They are so talented, from Cabernet, dinner dances or coronations they can do it all, and they’re the real thing when it comes to armed forces.

These are extremely talented musicians. One has to be highly trained. So difficult to get into. All graduates in music. This is a hard song to sing.

It did not do it for me. I can't say what but it just doesn't lift off for me. They cut certain notes out that really flattened it out for me. Sorry. Lots of work went into it. Really don't care for it.
