I love how in the first video they have this insane dude as a drummer who obviously isnt a professional but they also have the bassist with his 6 string bass which is completely unnecessary for that kind of music...

I'm..at..exactly 1:15, and have already decided on drummer#2. Besides technique/delivery, his nuanced exploratory flipping of the snare, itself, I found a risky, yet particularly fresh gamble to take, indeed! Lucky for him, and us, I might've been acutely remiss to say it paid off in a handsome manner..indeed. His accuracy is another of his assets to appreciate. The thing is, if you subscribe to the Umberto Eco belief that drumming itself, is more than just a physical syncopation of measurable time..beyond beats and fills. It's beyond that heretofore, it starts to become a metamorphic transition from something arbitrary as an established rythmic series, to what we in the western hemisphere simply referr to as a "panty-dropper". Indubitably! Indeed.

It's a weird psychological thing. Hang around with musicians enough and you can tell if someone plays something and what. Or at least have a very good idea.

Lol I can definitely confirm yesterday I replaced a drummer at a jam for 10 songs I was supposed to play 3, I did Nirvana and stuff, then some jazz, then got lost, my phone died (like the battery died), I ran cuz the bus was late, hoped on the stage and played cajon for 3 hours. I have no idea how the fuck I'm tired all the time but when I play the drums...
