The video taper said chain drive TAMA Iron Cobra. I met and hung out with Max YEARS ago on the Conquerors of Armageddon tour. He WAS using VERY SIMILAR old loosy goosy DW pedals BACK THEN! (Don't know the exact model but they WERE DW -Which personally? I ALWAYS HATED their kinda pedals 🤬) But yeah...NO problem at ALL for ol Max..And yeah, he was obviously good then but...Here, and since? 😮 That dude is just , 🤔BEYOND brutal! And REALLY tight nowadays, especially. 🥁🤘🔥🤘

@@jamescon55 Nope. I haven't seen pillows in quite awhile. Then again, I haven't seen rim mounted triggers being used by professionals in quite some time either. Most have switched to pedal-based units.

@@fleatactical7390 Well, I AM from the 90s- early early 2000s DM5 with DDRUM rim mounted triggers old school Extreme METAL drummers era...Hell, even when I returned to playing in 2013-14, I used the SAME old school set-up, but was using the newer chrome "colored" DDRUM triggers (as the old school red ones were outdated by then, obviously). And yep...At LEAST? A good half- 3/4 bass drum FULL of pillows were the key to successful triggers...And IF moving drum sets from the practice spot to the stage? Fully PACKED kicks were keys to successful LIVE triggers....Guess, I REALLY AM a relic 😵‍💫 Lol...🥁😎🤘🔥🤘
