As a, very humbly put, “moderate to mediocre” guitar player, when I hear this, it’s an immediate feeling of “huh, someone can really make these sounds, not me, but, someone can, and he’s really good at it” lol

The other guitarist Scottie also has a play through of his portion of the song and it’s just as crazy as this.

The fact that it sounds soooo good natural speed, slowed down, and also slightly sped up is totally insane

Tim sounds like a computer ai that was told to play jazz fusion but is slowly having electrical shorts and plays some crazy staccato jumpy arppegeos during the shorts.

"What does this make you feel" Makes me feel like I've been playing guitar recreationally for over 20 years and dived into virtuoso technique a long time ago, learning all that fancy sweep and economy picking stuff and been doing hybrid picking for as long as I remember, and still I can't wrap my head around how to actually produce the sounds I'm hearing in this song.

the amount of dedication and discipline that leads into such superior skill makes me feel motivated… so satisfying to watch.

He has really mastered the hybrid picking technique, it's crazy how good he is.

I actually see this as a great inspiration. I've already improved so much at the guitar by just grinding G.O.A.T. and other polyphia songs and when it finally comes out somewhat clean it's just so satisfying and rewarding. I can do things now that I thought would take me way longer to learn but I just went at it with the mindset of "I'm gonna do this now" and that works. When I had an injury on my pinky once I managed to play G.O.A.T. ok with only two fingers even and it's that sort of thing that encourages you to keep going

I’m not a musician. But whenever I see people like Tim, people who seems to be so into their element, who are really good on what they do. I feel inspired, i feel motivated, I feel happy as well. I want to push myself to do better at what I do as well. It’s not pointless, the satisfaction of having mastered your craft to this level is worth all the trouble of dedicating yourself to that thing you do, regardless of what your craft is.

Context: been playing guitar for 15 years now, played both classical and various electric styles. I'm a huge metal head at heart so shred guitar is a big thing for me. Seeing this, or even just watching these guys in general, evokes a feeling of incredible awe. An appreciation of what he has made my instrument do. A bit of happiness at the way he is pushing the guitar to new places. And a massive sense of inspiration. I know I'll likely never make it to that kind of level, but dammit this makes me wanna TRY.

Takes me back to when I didn’t play any instruments. Just the fascination of the unknown of the beauty of the artist and their instrument. How they’re able to make something so beautiful and amazing.

One of the craziest thing about Tim is that he plays so clean you can slow it down to 25% speed and it just sounds like he’s playing really slow. There are 0 “mistakes” but mistake isn’t even the right word because the right word is imperfections. His playing is flawless

My reaction to Polyphia is identical to yours. Beginning at an early age, most of my musical listening has focused on progressive rock and jazz fusion. After repeatedly falling back on the same music with which I grew up it begins to border on becoming a bit boring, that is, up until Polyphia. Their unique sound, owing heavily to their impressive level of skill and musicality as well as their eclectic musical tastes, has renewed my interest in the genre. I hope the future bodes well for the band and each of its musicians. Thank you for the reaction video.

The guys are so fucking talented to compose this pretty eclectic fusion of flamenko, trap, bossa-nova based disco-funk, that "beatcrusher" stutter emulation on the guitar, giving it then a totally piano-like solo and so on in such a tasteful and catchy manner and deliver all of that with such a precision, where every little goddamned ghost note is in its place.

when I was 11years old and already 4 years into piano lessons, I got a new classmate who played since he was four. First time I visited him at home, he played the 3rd movement of the Moonshine Sonata and after that he improvised on some Jazz lines. That was the moment when all my plans for the future were shattered. I realized that only some are the chosen ones and I am not ;-) Today, 45 years later, I'm able to play Beethovens 3rd movement and some Jazz lines, but now I'm a happy truck driver in Germany and still love to watch and listen to some virtuosity like this and shattering moments for others😅

Tim said that he can only play this song using feeling only. Its easy to make mistakes on this song by other thinking it so he just feel it out the whole way. Its why he looks so relaxed in the unplugged video.

Personally this makes me feel incredibly motivated and inspired. I was a kid who grew up learning classical and flamenco guitar, and for a long long time I felt a huge disconnect between those and the styles of music that I really wanted to be playing (Rock, Alternative, etc.). It's hard to put into words how much discovering Tim's style of guitar work has lit a fire in me to pick my guitar back up after far too long away from it - especially since he and I are apparently the same age lol.

To answer your question about how it makes me feel. I feel enthralled; mostly amazed because I can't play music one way or the other... I know, I tried - BUT. But but -- I love knowing how things work. So, with the video he posted, I can study his actions which give me a better grasp on wildly wicked these guys jam out! It's very impressive and mesmerizing. That's it.

As a guitarist for almost 40 years who never reached anywhere near Tim's level of proficiency, his music does not depress me or make me hate my life. Quite the contrary, I am captivated by his style and thankful I live in his time space and get the opportunity to listen to his mastery of the instrument I love. His music (and the band) is undefinable and creative in ways I could have never imagined as a guitarist. If any musician can't appreciate what we are experiencing, maybe they should consider a different hobby. Musicians like Tim rarely come around, enjoy the music while we can. what do i feel like watching this? the only thing i can think while listening this is: is "dude, you made it!" I mean, listen to his phrasing, he just invented a new and totally different way to play the instrument, this style is so personal: this is a ridiculous achievement IMO. There are A LOT of guys really good at covering other people songs, but when I think about the creativity, apart from the technical skills, required to create something so complex, beautiful and different, just blows my mind. I'm so happy that I'm alive and I have had the chance to listen to this!
