GDP per Capita is a country's or State's GDP divided by its population so having a bunch of rich people doesn't make any difference

GDP per capita is a good estimate of income levels of the population. You are wrong. These two indicators (GDP/capita and income/capita) has quite a strong relationship

Yes but the GDP of the state depends on the export and import value and profits of their industries or other agricultural sectors, people who have more money usually do so because they output at a greater scale than those who have less money. Though you are right in that rich people don't really matter since most of them do not earn wages or a salary.

This is GDP per capita, which means amount that they produce. Rich people/owners don’t tend to stay in the place they make their riches. Hence China has a huge GDP but with poor people.

rich people in a state (or any country as a fact) do not contribute much to GDP per capita. in fact it can in some cases can decrease GDP capita. GDP by definition is just the total value of whatever the state produces or sells. meaning that rich people buying luxurious things from anywhere but their home state will not increase GDP, which does not increase GDP per capita.

In total, GDP ( per Capita ) Nominal is a wrong and confusing index because it doesn't show the real average income ( for example Equatorial Guinea has very high poverty rate but also high GDP per Capita Nominal because of their oil 🛢️ reserve and low population) But GDP ( per Capita ) PPP [purchasing power parity] is good alternative because it really shows how rich/poor the people are😊
