@@Muneeb.Ephesians 6:10-18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.

There were two comparisons. First one was dry versus wet (fruitier, lighter); second was dry versus sweet. And if you can’t tell what is what then try adding a lemon in a dry wine, and then sugar in a dry wine.

So the point here is that a dry wine is less sweet and a sweet wine is more sweet. But taking the same wine in different glasses and adding lemon to one and sugar to the other, as in this example allows you to taste those specific differences in wine while using the same base flavor profile of the original wine as a backdrop. It's like a controlled experiment where you're only tweaking one thing at a time.

So trying wine *with* sugar will make wine *without* sugar taste like it doesn’t have sugar, got it!

It took me a lot of research to understand this; alcohol has the opposite effect on sweetness and bitterness; if you add sugar to alcohol, it will go bitter, and if you add lemon, it will become sweeter. In wine tasting, the drier, the bitter.

this man couldn't explain shit but i am a brewer myself and know what he tried to say. dry wine means sugar free wine, yeast eats sugar to produce alcohol while making wine so it will continue eating until nothing edible is left (this is dry wine, sugar free) or get killed by its own made alcohol then leave some sugar behind (sweet wine, has sugar in it because yeast wasn't able to eat all). so if you have a dry wine and want to know how would it taste when it was sweet, you can add sweeteners like sugar, honey, maple syrup or grape juice. comparison is like %100 dark chocolate versus sweetened milk chocolate, you can add sugar to get closer to taste of milk chocolate because it tastes very weird without sugar. Same thing happens on wine, grape juice is normally sweet but when yeast eats sugar it becomes sugar free grape juice which is very weird tasting compared to sweet grape juice. You added the sugar to %100 dark chocolate but its still not smooth as milk chocolate because there's no milk in it, so this is the effect of acids in wine its like adding milk powder to chocolate or coffee.

I'm think the entire point of this test is to let yourself experience these characteristics of the wine in extremity, so you know what & how it tastes like, then it'll be easier to identify them. Useful tip thanks!
