Did you notice that your drying machine is spinning, but is not heating up? In this video, we will show one of the most common problems in this dryer machine. How to test the thermostat switches and how to replace the heating element. It takes about 10-20 minutes to do it and about £15 in parts. This job can cost you probably a minimum of £100 if you call somebody to do it for you

Thanks for the video, I think the designer of tumble dryers could make it a bit easier to do this job. Is there any reason why the connector could be place outside of that hole. Anyway done the easy bit a disassembled the machine, now just waiting for the parts from espares.

I have this heating problem with my indesit idc75 tumble dryer. However the machine is quite old and I’m not sure if it’s worth fixing. I don’t want to throw good money after bad

Hi i have this dryer but it makes a whingeing noise any ideas what it might be thankyou

Hi Sarah my first guess would be check the belt and the motor that drives, remove one of the access panel and you will see the belt that goes around the drum, only one of the sides you will be able to see the motor, there is also a bracket, to remove the belt sometimes is a pain in the #$#$", lol, because it goes all the way around the drum, mine started making a noise before snap, thank you for your comment

Hi Sarah, mine has made an intermittent loud noise from just out of warranty. I have checked the belt, fan blades all ok and replaced bearings. It still makes the horrible noise only sometimes when hot but not every time and is still working. No belt fail after 6 years. The noise is still a mystery. I hate this stupid machine 😅
