I did the same last week but it had stood for 10 years. I Kinda sputtered the reved like hell. After that one startup tho, it just Kinda idled for 30 sec before dying. My dad and I am getting new parts and tearing it apart to Clean and replace most stuffs

Really hard to believe that it sat for 7 years cause the carb on scooters aren't the best quality I'm seriously amazed that the floats wasn't stuck in the carb.

I was thinking it would be a lot more dirty than that. Looks like some dirt and dust was thrown on it for the video. Plus there would be all kinds of bugs and spiders living in that battery compartment. And finally, why would someone pack wood so neatly behind it? I could be wrong but looks staged.

I miss the days when you could buy these bikes for £600 brand new on ebay UK. In 2006 for my 16th birthday I had a £2000 Valentino Rossi Yamaha Aerox and it was so slow at stock. A girl I knew from school got a Baotian Bt50 like this and it did 50mph + straight from new. These bikes are underated.

@@JV-lh8wh It was fast once it had been tuned by professional scooter tuners, malossi variator, gianelli pipe and eventually a malossi 70cc kit. But when it was standard and restricted to 30mph it was a slow pig. These baotians came ready to do 50mph, which is impressive especially for a £600 four stroke at that time.

Possibly using some starter fluid or gasoline squirted into the carb would make the first start much quicker and easier without killing the battery.

Trebalo je odvrnuti šraf na karburatoru za ispuštanje goriva iz čašice nisam primjetio u videu da si to napravio tako da je staro gorivo ostalo i dalje u čašici

it was in dry storage where water didn't come in contact, so thats why it was just dusty. but yeah he shouldve inflated the tires too

Djed mi imao istog ovakvog. Kinez. Los jako bio. Imao je prsten za prst na kraju sajle gasa, jer je rucica otisla. Naravno, kad je policija pocela da zajebava, prije nekih 15ak godina, pocelo je da moras imat tehnicki i tablice na skuteru i adio Baotian :(
