This is the new frontier of phone photography. You really provided photos that unless printed poster size, it would be extremely hard to believe that an 8x10 or even 11x14 was taken with a smartphone. Great job!

It’s really amazing how good the subject cutoff in Portrait mode is getting - it used to look fake-looking and often with stiff falloffs. In the last couple of years, Portrait mode has matured into a solid and reliable feature in many phones.

I really want to get back into photography this year.... The last two years have been pretty rough and I wasn't keeping up with my hobbies. I'm slowly getting back to myself and I'm so motivated again. Photography was one of those hobbies but my phone's currently acting up and my camera is stuck at my workplace because I offered for them to use it there for as long as I'll stay there. I look at photography this way, it doesn't matter how good you are as a photographer, you'll shoot trash images every session. What differs between photographers, and people taking images, is that the photographer knows what to keep and what to bin. I don't know of any photographer that claims all their shots are calculated bangers.
