DTA "Advanced AI" Trailer

DTA's new Advanced AI option makes the AI smarter in several ways, including base-crawling through the map for additional resources and building multiple factories depending on economy.
We are going to release Advanced AI in late October (yes, this month!).

It would be cool to see a full game of AI vs AI at 1x speed just to see what it looks like.

You can spectate an AI vs AI game in Skirmish when it's released.

I wish this makes it's way into the Rampastring's Tiberian Sun client version as well (not just in DTA).

We are not ruling it out, but it is likely that the Advanced AI's base-crawling mechanic would unfortunately not work very well with Tiberian Sun's 3D terrain, which involves more unbuildable obstacles compared to TD&RA terrain, such as slopes and bigger cliffs.

Any chance you can standardize resolution? Playing at my screens resolution makes everything too tiny and trying to tinker around with resolutions always leave things looking a little stretched or odd.

We suspect most players like tweaking their resolution so we couldn't standardize it in the near future at least. Try to pick a resolution with the same aspect ratio as your native screen resolution. For example, most displays nowadays are 16 : 9 (1080, 1440p, 4K etc.). The 1280x720 resolution often provides a good middle ground for such displays.

Does the Advanced AI scale with difficulty or is it the same as current Brutal?

Advanced AI scales and works with any difficulty. Easy, Medium, Hard, Brutal and Ultimate. 🙂

Later this year. If everything goes as planned, we are going to release over 40 (!) new singleplayer missions and also several co-op missions in the latter half of this year.
