Notice the form factor heading below the memory speed and slots filled. It’s displayed as “row of chips” ie soldered ram. Normal sodimm will display as SODIMM

The second screen should be suitable for OBS preview and chat reading, if anyone into streaming with this laptop (which I dont think anyone will, I cant tell)

Gorgeous laptop, and decent on gaming too! But like others mentioned, i’m a little let down by the 3050ti.. but I guess for what this laptop is intended to do it might be ok. However, after watching lots of benchmarkings on 3050Ti and 3060 i was surprised to see that my 2070 Max-Q still outperforms both of them in every aspect. If I were on a market for a budget gaming laptop I think I would save me some money and go with a 1660/1660Ti and be really happy with it.

that 8gig on the 2070 max q does help at 1440p and even 4k. well 4k at 30fps or 60 at med in some games

I might be missing something, but when you went over the cpu, task manager said its speed was around 1.3GHZ but the base speed is 2.3GHZ. How does that happen, and does it have something to with turbo boost?

Why are people pointing put the 3050 ti, this is not meant to be the gaming version of this laptop, this one is the “creator/student”, the gaming version is the duo 16 which comes with a 3080ti.

I agree! The resolution of the games benchmarked in the video are not even 1080p. They’re mostly on native which was 2.8k by something so it’s easily above 1440p gaming.

3050 ti is a terrible "creator" gpu also because it is 1) really slow and 2) has gimped vram. It is a gpu that should not appear on a machine of this class. Price of going up tp 3060 is really small, but suddenly both problems are fixed.

I have a 3050ti laptop it does everything I need. I easily run warzone and any game I play. But I did have to upgrade my ram to 16gb.
