First off, everyone likes a big butt. Second, once you have a dually, you will never need any more of a truck to do a job. Third, they have so much more stability on the road than a srw. Lastly, everyone secretly wants a dually. #widehoneybigmoney

You can't compare how well a dually handles a trailer vs a single wheel it's so much better.

I’ll try: In general, towing heavy with SRW can make you feel like you’re about to die because of truck sway (tire dependent, of course). Towing heavy with a dually is actually an enjoyable experience (if you’re into that kind of thing) and certainly safer than SRW trucks.

My 2019 f350 dually is running a pieced together Carli/ pfm 4 inch lift, 22 inch triton 37" toyo mt's and I pull a 20k lb 30ft gooseneck with sandblasting equiptment all day... does great.

This is good to know. I'm in the market now for new set of tires. Going 3.5 lift on 20 inch 35's from my stock 17 wheel 33 tires dually.

@@Kordeous you'll have no issues other than the tires will rub at full lock on the front of the radius arm, they all do with bigger tires on stock wheels..get yourself a 3/4 hubcentric spacer and a 1 1/2 in the rear.. assuming you have a dually.

I have a 2019 Ram 3500 Limited Dually Mega Cab. Here in Texas we normally run them with a leveling kit with 22-26 inch American Forces 8 to 10 lug conversion on 35’s.

Not too many of us in Texas throw 22-26s on our dually. Most run stock 17s with 35s or maybe 20s.

@@matthewedwards215 Duallys have same frame as any 3/4 ton or 1 ton SRW. Most have same front suspension and rear axle is often the same too. It's just 2 extra wheels. It slows it down a lot, makes it skid on grass and slop. If you need it for towing and extra security for rear blowout, then hats off. Most dudes don't need a dually, of course.

@@ddev7376 that’s where you’re unaware of. We don’t have pipeline work sites in my state, as far as ik of. Most of the “trucks” around me being driven around are barely being used trailering their towing capacity compared to what I’ve towed with my truck. Even the construction dual lies around me have shit in their beds but quite light loads. On the other hand, sounds like you don’t know much about actually towing heavy loads….😅

Nice! I would add that the ride being rougher is all relative. Out of my six vehicles my 2018 dually is by far my smoothest riding vehicle. My OBS is a brick, the 2003 Super Duty leafs are rough empty…. Also you don't have to get a long bed with a dually. Ford offered short box dually's for a while and with a mega cab you only get a short box from the factory. Corner handling is awesome over a SRW also. When you need the payload to tow legally and want to look bad ass the dually has no substitute! Now please due a episode on dually wheel options you have!!

I remember my dad told me that when he was in highschool/college everybody loved the dually look but many hated the loss in fuel mileage. So some guys would deflate the external tires just enough so that they never made contact with the road but from a distance looked like they did. Completely making the body style useless just for the looks. I like the way they look to, but if you're going to do it be prepared for the negatives that come with it.

I drove for a week with my 2005 Ram dually with one outer tire totally flat with a slit in the tire, without realizing it was flat. With a dually and your spare, you have enough spare tires to never get stranded with a flat.

I live in Long Island New York and you really do not see a lot of dual wheel pickups just because of how tight the roads are it's not like it's big open Country land you'll see more as you head out towards the island because it opens up a little bit but where I'm at it's more like the city and it's 2 of a restricted area

Where about on the island, im in the Huntington/ Northport area and see quite a few nice one, built and not built, I believe theres actually a daily driven sema show build in the Huntington area, i saw him picking up sod one time. Was a pretty cool sight in a show truck

My dad has one of the couple crew cab (extended in Texas ) second gens,machanical diesel,Cummins,long bed duallys out there and even though it isn’t lifted it still looks sick.

98 6.5 TD k3500 dually, stock 16” rims and stock suspension. I got the S&b cold air intake, 4” diamond turbo back exhaust and a 2 12” subs, tuning blue radio, 2 amps(1500, and 3000) $800 to have everything professionally wired and ignition wire tucked. I have few mods and debating on what I should do with wheels and tires without throwing off the towing aspect, 80k miles, Ik my baby has very low mileage. Replaced many things for the years it sat.

I have a dually 05 dodge cummins but I use it for work so I need the dual rear wheels and since I have a bale bed I need dual rear wheels for flotation purposes. As for the lifted show duallys and that and that category I think they r a rock-bottom truck and a person that throws way to much money into it personally. Fun to see on the road but not for me personally.

@@matthewedwards215 no man thanks but he didn't die, he's still around and were actually currently restoring the truck together! A complete, frame up restoration, it was my great grandpa's when he bought it brand new, and family drove it until it was sold at an auction when great grandpa died in '96, then my grandpa got it back to restore it in 02, it sat in his yard for 16 years and he finally got it in the barn and now were restoring it!

Don't know about riding rougher, I had a srw f250 and that was rough my f450 is a dually and it smooth, maybe because it's a Platinum but still smooth. And they are cool. Don't loose subscribers bro with the insult. Former customer and subscriber.

Most people leave this one key thing out it has four wheels on the back I'm a journeyman rig welder that travels across country welding and I've had many times a nail or a screw flatten one of the four back tires and because of my hours I work I'll drive the truck for months before I fix one flat in the back and the truck still drives and handles weight effortlessly on four tires or i can say a single axel if you get a flat you have to stop you have to repair immediately but on a dually even if it's in the front you can stop take one tire off the back and put it in the front plus you do have a spare like any other truck so it's like having two spares all the time!

I have a 2020 F-450 dually platinum. 6" lift. 28" forged. 13" flip down tv with aftermarket double din alpine monitor in the dash. Custom AF I still tow my dirt bikes and jet ski's whenever I want. 💯

I bought my 1999 Chevy LS3500 strictly on looks alone. Put a Century camper shell on it and carpeted it throughout. I do rarely tow my boat with it but yeah looks alone is why I bought this bad boy!

My dad has a 2012 chevy 3500HD dually the truck came from Texas has deep tinted rear and front windows it's like a tan ish brown color it looks sick it's pretty much stock exept straight pipe from the turbo down big ol exhaust tip and a tow tune but this truck doesnt have any aftermarket wheels or anything it just has a ranch hand front bumper also its completely deleted and damn this truck can move top speed 136 and and accelerates fast

Besides customization purposes I think dually trucks do a better job at towing than the single axle trucks. I'm not saying single axles can't tow but for me who plan on buying a gooseneck to occasionally do small jobs on the side or help a friend or family member that needs something hauled, like my uncle who needed his Yukon XL towed to a mechanic shop, could've picked up him, his family, and the truck at the same time instead of him having to wait until his friend showed up who brought this dinky trailer that had me surprised that it made it back.

You forgot one of the biggest con of dually trucks. They don’t track well in snow. With wider rear axles they push around and you can’t get traction.

Daily drove a red 2008 LMM Crew cab. 6inch lift. 35s. Massive “Fab Four” front an rear bumpers. Big cowl hood! No longer own but definitely have enough pictures to upload to gallery! Came from Florida so zero rust when I i got rid of.

What I don’t understand is how you guys are a lift kit dealer, but don’t realize getting a lift kit for a dually is just as easy as finding one for a single wheel truck. Because they’re the same as a 3/4, just with a 3” rear leaf instead of 2.5

If all you need is payload (like me), a RAM 3500 Regular Cab Chassis Cab has a payload of 5,120 on a SRW. However, It only tows a little over 20,000, so if towing is also important, get the dually.

I have an 99 F550 4x4. I have had it since 2009. I would like taller fatter tires with decent tread. I'm running OEM 8 lug 19.5 rims. I've had 245/70s and 225/70s 'all-terrain' tires. No mods. It's my daily driver, only vehicle. I use it for hauling trailers, the camper, loads of dirt, wood whatever. The thing will climb anything and go anywhere I can get traction. But I can't get traction. The reason I want taller fatter tires with better tread is that i keep bottoming out, getting stuck on wet grass and sinking on even fairly firm ground. The only thing I see out there are Rickson singles, ungowa expensive, and a bunch of pretty, weak stuff that won't last a few trips and is also ungowa expensive. Any ideas? I can't speak for anyone else, but I have to have one, and because I bought a 1969 Ford F350 c class motorhome, I think I can make up for a couple of this lost intended things. Ha, considering there are only a handful of these things left,...I don't care if they call me a parking lot princess, while I'm in town. I don't build trucks, so that I can go in the hole, while my friends stay entertained by me smashing my investment against the rocks.
