After growing up in Central Ohio, the natural progression is to move to Columbus, but this was a very different town in the early 2000s. After surviving the Great Recession, Columbus has been on an absolute tear. While the recession was rough, we tended to fare better than many other cities partially due to the diverse amount of employers in the area. That, along with a focus on redevelopment of areas close to Downtown, population growth and the relatively cheap cost of living have helped buoy the Central Ohio area.
It doesn't seem that long ago in 2009 when residents were stoked to get Yuengling Lager to the area. Fast forward a short decade and today we have over 50 local breweries and our own "Ale Trail". That is just one of the fantastic changes.
Leaving for ten years, I left more or less a cow town and returned to a City bustling with boutique shops, coffee houses and restaurants, a renewed focus on fitness and somehow it seemed sunnier. In fact, it was such a cool city that we decided to stay.

I applied to two new teacher assistant positions at Dublin City Schools Saturday, and did for previous ones in August. Wish me luck!!🤞

Dublin is a very nice neighborhood, old downtown is very cool, the Indian run Falls are pretty and the library is huge and nice! Also is close to glacier metro park one of the best metro parks in town!

As a person who lives here myself I recommend to live at Greystone mews ( sorry if spelled wrong ) they are great condos but they cost half a million and more. Hope this helped

People look down on ohio as a whole. But DUBLIN is awesome and I love it. And im tryin to move there soon 👍🏾

100% correct. People do look down on Ohio, but there is a lot of great stuff in this state. Sometimes you have to live somewhere else to realize it.

I'm from NY and moved to Columbus last year and now bought a home in Dublin. I'm a little confused--is Dublin part of Columbus? Is it like a suburb of Columbus? I see lots of little towns close by--Hilliard, Worthington, Upper Arlington--are these neighborhoods or towns? Thanks.

Does Dublin actually have a metro population??? If you check Dublin on Wikipedia, it says that

Dublin is very much a suburb of metro Columbus, but is also it's own city. It's about 15-20 minutes from Downtown Columbus

Dublin is not Columbus it's a seperate city unto its self.

Hey Andy. I have a question for you. Where in the Columbus area would you live in if someone gave you $3M to buy a home? Or basically, what is your dream neighborhood?

Ohhh, this could be a whole video and a FANTASTIC question. I honestly LOVE where we live now. We can walk to grocery stores, our kids school, coffee shops, bike trails, bars, restaurants, parks...what more could I ask for? We have a safe neighborhood, etc...However, if we didn't live here I would live somewhere with some acreage and woods...Not ready for that quite yet though!

@@LivingtheColumbusWay may i ask which area you live in? im moving from abroad and wont have a car so would like ro rent an apartment somewhere like your location where i can get to grocery stores, cafes etc just by walking a couple of mins.

I nearly said "Dublin is a wide area" but that doesn't make sense....It's sort of a sprawling suburb at some points, not others.
