I had the exact same problem, a bad ignition coil from the top cylinder was causing this problem

Check/clean throttle bodies. The internet knows this

I knew at the time, that this was the most probable issue. I only uploaded the video for the Ducati dealer, to illustrate the issue. I sold them the bike as it was, as it was under warranty. They said that they needed the bike for 6-8 weeks to resolve it. And that would just be to clean the throttle bodies - a temporary fix. Not acceptable.

Hello, did you ever figure what was the issue ?

The bike was covered by Ducati's Ever Red extended warranty. I sold the bike to a Ducati dealer, after I was advised that they would need the bike for 4 to 6 weeks to investigate and resolve the issue. I disposed of the problem, they got themselves some warranty work and a used bike to sell. They have just sold the bike, but as yet I have not called them to confirm what they discovered. The concensus is though, that it was throttle body deposits resulting from degredation of the plastic fuel tank. The issue for me is that it seems that Ducati do not admit that there is a problem. They only rectify the symptoms, by cleaning the deposits from the throttle bodies meaning that the deposits will re-accumulate and the problem will return.

@@TheGoatfister thanks for the reply, I like that bike but is not the first time that i see or heard about that issue which makes me think wether it will be a bike I would like to purchase in the future.

@@eduardoportillo0096 I see you sold it… but are they still treating the solution as a throttle body clean that takes several weeks out? No real repair / solution yet?
