Picked up a 2022 icon. Prior I had a BMW 650 and a Suzuki 1250 Sport Touring bike. I planed on buying a Yammaha Tenere but when I sat on it - it’s very tall and don’t think it would be much fun in town. The ICON is fun. It feels very light, seat is low and easy to flat foot both feet at stop light. LOVE the ICON 800

I am 42 years old, 5.4 with like a 29 inseam and I iam looking to upgrade from my CB300R to a Ducati Scrambler. Test Drove the 1100 Pro really nice but I am very undecided since it’s heavier and I only do city riding. Would you suggest the 800 over the 1100? I am very undecided between the nightshift and the 1100 tribute pro. Since COVID it’s really hard to find a test drive and also hard to find stock

@@Slopes27 Well, I’d like to help but I did not try The Ducati 1100. If I were going for a faster bike and willing to spend a little more money, my pick would be the Kawasaki 900 with retro styling. The scrambler Icon 800 gives me the ability to hit a dirt road and feel a little bit more comfortable and safe, even though I don’t do it very often. The night shift is a very cool street bike, if you’re OK with leaning forward, my arms get tired of that and my back will hurt as well (I’m almost 66). So, the icon 800 gave me a very fun around town ride with the ability to get on the highway and go as fast as I need to. I’m just being honest here - if I get a faster bike, I’m going to ride faster - a lot faster and get into trouble. Ride them and make sure you know what YOU like, how YOU will ride, and push the ego out of the decision process. Good luck and be safe!

@@thomascogar8912 thanks man. I think you are absolutely right after riding my CB300R for 1 hour my back starts to hurt and my hands since I am leaning much forward. Yeah I think the extra $4000 for a bigger bike when I really only ride in the city it might not justify. Thank You Man enjoy your ride and safe riding.

Mine is a 2017. No gear indicator other than N (but shouldn’t you already know what gear your in?). No issues with deselecting turn signals. No issues with stability in corners. No issues with brakes. Added oem adjustable levers and a short windscreen (helps ALOT). Handles mild off-roading well. Also added grippier foot pegs for standing up on and replaced plastic brake reservoirs with aluminum ones. I love it.

Definitely a pre 2019 model. You can see it in many parts, such as the wheel rims, engine color, seat, turn indicators, sides of the tank, exhaust, missing gear indicator, break and clutch levers etc.

I think that’s the 2018 model, the 2019 have the hydraulic clutch instead of the cable clutch.

This was the new batch of Ducatis so I’m assuming the bikes were all 2019s.

I just bought a 2016 scrambler today. I'm in fucking love. Also how do I turn on the brights. And what's the button right above the indicators? I held the bright flasher till it stayed on I think

Different Spokes TV Look at the button housing, the headlight ring, the muffler and the tank panels. That one is not a 2019 one, still fun tho.

The Ducati Scrambler 800 models do not have traction control. just saying

Hi i saw your video on the cb650r and this. Im thinking to buy a new bike and this is my 2 options. Which will you prefer of the 2?

Good question. The Ducati is lighter and has more power at low revs where you use it most. The Honda has more power and high revs and likes to scream. I founds the Ducati more nimble in tighter turns but the Honda more stable in long sweepers. If you’re going to ride off pavement then definitely the Ducati. However, the Honda may be more reliable and have a larger dealer network. Ask yourself which of those things are the most important and choose the bike accordingly. I’d take the Ducati because I ride a lot of gravel roads.

@@DifferentSpokesTV i dont ride off pavements. I drive mostly on twisties and highways. By the way, i saw another video of yours. I own a rebel 500 by the way. Its a good bike but i think im looking for more power.

Either one will do and both are good in the twisties. Sounds like you he 650 is the better bike for you.
