the scrambler is much more nibble , no ? the Diavel is heavier and a bit flimzy on low speeds , and as far as I understand hates Twisties or hair pins

Take one for a test ride. They usually don't have S models for testing, but you'll get a good feel for it. Oh and put it in sport mode to experience the full potential.

Very good bike, if you go cross country, 10,000 miles per year, off road, back country, then go V4 multistrada.

Initially, it's exactly what I asked for when I was in contact with Ducati North America. They delivered on it! I would wait for the Diavel V4S variant since the upgrades are well worth the wait. The engine is far more reliable and requires way less maintenance. The power and sound are spot on! Torque and horse power are great! Overall the bike is lighter too. I also love the folding hide-away rear sets. I just ordered a Challenger Hellcat Jailbreak Wide-body since it's the last year these muscle cars will ever be made, but otherwise I would have planned to buy the Diavel V4S.

@@TrickMasterPC Other than maintenance intervals on the V4 engine, I really don’t find the changes very compelling, especially for the price increase. Uses more gas, a little more HP at higher revs, Öhlins shocks missing, torque is a bit lower at same revs. They also made a less aggressive position in terms of handlebar placement. Not a fan of what they did with the front turn signals and the overall aesthetic package is not calling me out personally. Without having further insights it really doesn’t seem much of an upgrade. Maybe I’m not informed enough to understand the real difference. I also don’t know as much as you do and lack the riding knowledge of the V4 engine. I will look forward to the review videos of the new bike and maybe you have a chance to ride it at the dealer when it comes out. Would be great to have a first thoughts video! Thanks for responding!

Yeah, I have no regrets selling my V4S, it was fun for a year. The new 2024 Diavel V4S is awesome! Check out the videos on it.

Streetfighter if you have a decent amount of twisties and want more upright position than V4. V4 if your riding a lot of twisties in short bursts 2 to 3 hours or you plan to ride track several times a year. If you go cross country, 10,000 miles per year, off road, back country, then go V4 multistrada. If you want to ride roads with twisties, go all day, cross country etc then Diavel 1260S. The Diavel will include the V4 engine in the near future.

The termi exhaust, sprint filter, and factory tune make a bug difference for sure. The only tune I might recommend without installing a racing exhaust would be to advance the timing a little. With smog regulations engine timings are always retarded. Other than that you'll need and exhaust, filter, headers etc if you want a higher performance tune.

@@TrickMasterPC Yeah. I'm looking more towards rideability and less of of a performance increase. Was told that mapping are heavily restricted due to government regulations on emissions. Thanks for the reply!

The 1260S can keep up very well. The new 2023 Diavel will have the V4 engine, so go with the new Diavel V4S for sure.

@@TrickMasterPC AMS Ducati said the reveal for that is coming but the bike will be late 2023 or 2024 it’s not complete yet only the full concept. I have asked 3 other dealers that said the same. Plus I think I want the 1260 sound and grunt over the V4S we have a SL 2022 and a 2023 SP2 coming. They just don’t have that grunt sound as the 1260 with the term exhaust

Well the good news is that you should be able to get a pretty good deal on the 1260S I would think given that the newer model is on the way. They want to push out all of the older inventory. You'll love the 1260S for sure

Do you mostly ride twisty turns or mostly straight with few turns? If you ride a lot of turns, and ride for 2 to 3 hours go with the street fighter, otherwise 1260S all the way.

If you can keep both, why not🤷‍♂️ however There’s no real need for a superbike, But when in the saddle 🤯 The Diavel is a more comfortable street bike than the street fighter! It can hangout with most thing’s on the street! It only gets smoked by current model bikes: S1000RR, Rsv4/Tuonno, & obviously V4? on the track!

Are the roads smooth? The suspension is tight on the streetfighter. Do you race hard more than cruise? In an ideal world having both bikes would be the best.

Yes they are smooth! I cant have both of them haha but I like to ride hard! My last bike was a monster 1200s and I love it! I fill old with the diavel haha

Wait for V4 version of the Diavel 1260S. It will likely be lighter, have more power. Likely the newer V4 engine that doesn't require valve adjust for 45k miles. It will sound nearly the same. I had the V4S and it was mean sounding. You can test ride it, if you don't like it then at least the 2022 models will be way reduced in price. Plus winter is coming very soon anyway

I was just told by my local Ducati dealer that I can only order the brand new Diavel V4 from them now but there are still a few 1260s around the country. @Marcilio Pereira if you ride more straights than curves, and you like to ride for hours or distance, then I would go for the 1260S without hesitation.

@@TrickMasterPC I ended up keeping both, the Streetfighter and the Diavel 😎 Now it’s a decision on whether to add or not a Termignoni on the Diavel 🤔

If your wrists, back, and ass are hurting and most of the roads you ride are straight then it will be a very good option for you. If you ride a lot of tight twisties then I would stick with the Streetfighter. If I was still living in California I would have probably stuck with the V4S, but here in Texas it doesn't make sense...

@@TrickMasterPC I had the Xdiavel, sold it. Did not like the riding position.. but my God I did like the torque in low rpm's. Just wondering if you have the same rush on a (streetfighter) v4s? Or is the Diavel the way to go:-)

The riding position on the Diavel is much better than the XDiavel. It's more of a Supersport position for your feet with a 41 degree lean angle. The Streetfighter has you leaned way over the tank, very aggressive position, will burn your wrists on long rides. If you ride way more twisties than straights, then the Streetfighter will be awesome, otherwise the Diavel 1260S is a very good hybrid between SS and cruiser.
