I use Dawn dish soap, vinegar, a little bleach in a garden pressure washer to wash my four minisplits. Rinse after washing using bottled water. IMPORTANT the drain tank will get clogged and not drain out side at the condensation outlet. Use a wet/dry vacuum and allow it to vacuum the outside drain as you are washing and rinsing the unit. This is separate from the drainage of the plastic catch all he hung and attached to the front of the unit. If you are getting condensation blowing into the room as your unit it cooling , the first thing you should due is to vacuum that outlet outside. A lot of what you just washed will want to drain outside through its internal system. MAKE SURE to vacuum that line every season.

Would you please tell me how you get all the water out after cleaning it on the inside of the house and how you dry it properly? My landlords maintenance guy doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Twice he cleaned it from last year till this year and both times it smelled after he got done He seemed to so better because he watched these videos but why is it smelling again? And he believes he rinsed it well and drained it and even left the fan on to dry it

@@sNksnAke You are correct! The air you breathe is CRUCIAL for your health. These units are notorious for mold and bacteria 🦠! It would be a good rule of thumb to do this type of cleaning every 4 months ( 3X a year ) - I have been sick the last 2 months and doctors couldn’t figure out why ( MOLD ) I’m highly allergic to it and we just found out that we have mold in our mini split unit inside
