cody is 100% the most inspiring swimmer, to me, it doesn’t matter how many medals you win. it’s about the experience, it’s about your legacy and how you compete, you could win 100 medals and be the most accomplished person in the world, but if you didn’t have a heart like cody, it wouldn’t really mean as much. you can see how cody cares about his fans and how much he is focused on staying positive and not letting anyone get in his way of that positively. this is why i love cody.

Oh my God you don´t know how much this volg has helped so much during this very hard time, i really want to cry so hard now i feel motived and my love for swimming just came again, i was so depressed and dessappointed of everything happening in this pandemic, thank you so much Cody, this gave me strenghts i apologyze for my english, i speak spanish and my country has been in quarentine for 71 days

I love these videos, especially during quarantine. They motivate me to not give up my drylands, and all the other stuff that I have to try and stay in shape. Thank you for making this video and showing that you were not always an amazing swimmer because many times we forget that the path to greatness takes time. I say it for experience because I am not the best 200 breaststroker in Colombia by any means but I wish to be one day and I ´ve been growing little by little to become that and you have just showed us that it takes time and that is okay. These videos have kept me motivated while I don't have access to a pool. My mom just bought a 18'x9' pool which will be here in about 10 days. Ah, new respect for you Cody. Wow what a swim when it was needed in 2015 Indianapolis Natatorium Dual Meet against Hungarian Gyurda and a New American Record (2:02 something)! You were psyched as you stated to be able to achieve this performance in front of your home town!

LOVED THIS VIDEO. Fun fact: I almost drowned in the diving pool there - someone put on the bubble at Junior Nationals (at which I finalled, so I could swim, lol) and somehow I got caught up in it and could not make it back to the surface. My good friend finally saw me and dove down, grabbed my hand, and pulled me back up. Fun fact: I used to carpool to swim practice with Brendan Hansen's aunts and he went to my high school! lol And I think Cody's using "regrets" and failures wrong. Don't regret your failures, but you CAN regret bad choices. There's a huge difference.
