My aunt( by marriage) had a brother by the name of Arthur Smith, who wrote this song. I know he would have been thrilled to see the performance of these young people. Great job!

Love the young man on the bass. Cocked, anticipating, and ready. He paid attention to the other players and enjoyed them ..... even thou he was not the man of the hour yet. I sat up in my chair waiting until he hit the first string on that bass. Wow, that boy plays that bass like he stole it. Love these young folks.

Those opening 9 notes of "Dueling Banjos" are shorthand around the entire wold for a certain category of rural folk.

I am in Leeds which is a city in Yorkshire, England smiling from ear to ear after watching your great and wonderful performance.. I can't believe it has taken me so long to get to the know its existence.. But i'm so so happy i found it or rather it found me... The addition of the double bass really set this tune up and brought it home! But it still comes in second to a school choir that I heard doing this as an *a Capella yodel* !
