Underrated ?? I feel like duff has a huge role in the gnr project, and his sound in particular is admired by many bassists and guys around the world. De hecho, la linea de bajo de Sweet child, tiene casi el mismo impacto que la guitarra principal. In fact, Sweet Child's bass line has almost the same punch as the lead guitar.

@1:13 From there, THAT!!! That is the Duff McKagan's sounds to me. I think Duff is one of those underestimated bassists. In Guns "N" Roses, he was that hard kicking rythmic bridge linking Steven's/Matt's powerful drum, Izzy's steady dirty rythm riffs and those perfectly groovin' "Ace Frehley sloppy style" solo riffs Slash was pulling out... The whole thing was dangerously Rock and Roll and Duff's bass riffs was the element holding it all together. Adding the voice and lyrics of Axl when he was firing on all 8 cylinders was giving the recipe for the perfect storm...

I have to disagree I have a Precision bass but my 5 other ones are Jazz basses. To me the Jazz bass just feels right in my hands, plays well, and sounds great. Don't get me wrong, I do like the Precision, but for me its the Jazz bass all the way. John Paul Jones made great music with one and so did a whole bunch of others. Each his own I guess, can't go wrong with either. I've been at it 35 years.

Leo Fender pretty much nailed it off the bat with the p bass apart from changing the pick up to a split single coil and changing the look to mirror that of the strat it's a jack of all trades bass just like the strat and the tele are for guitar you can play anything on a p bass by slightly adjusting the controls you can fit it to whatever you need
