Fun bit of trivia. The scene where Farva calls the old couple chicken fucker, those were Farva's real life parents. They had no idea their son was gonna run up to them and call them chicken fucker, so that surprised confused look on the their face was actually genuine 😂

More fun facts: they chugged a fake syrup but it didn't look real enough so they went and got actual maple syrup and chugged several bottles to get those shots 😂

@johnbarraco5561 yeah, the opening scene is great. It's funny, it's relatable, it's satirical, it's ridiculous, and it perfectly sets the tone, previewing what the movie is about. That scene alone could have been the trailer.

One of my absolute favorites!! The guys who made this started as an improv comedy group at my small, upstate NY college. I attended a premiere for one of their later movies (Club Dread) at the town’s only theater, but went home straight afterwards because I had an early class (game, maybe?) the next day. It remains one of my biggest regrets.. esp. since my roommate ended up partying with them all night at a local bar. By all accounts, they’re genuinely cool dudes IRL 👍

My college roommate's older brother went to college with them and was friends with Jay Chandrasekhar. Heard a funny story of how they broke into the cafeteria one night and started serving food. I ended up randomly running into Jay at a bar in L.A. years back, and he was pretty drunk from the moment he walked in. On my way out of the bar, I happened to go up to him and mention my roommate's brother name, and it took him a moment to register, but then he acknowledged he knew him and asked how he was doing.

@@flybriur Jay Chandrasekhar is a very great guy to meet. I saw him about ten years ago. Wow he can talk comedy. I wouldn't call it an obsession with him. It's more along the lines of a religion for him. Passionate as they all are about just having a blast and making sure everyone else who sees their movies and comedy acts has a blast as well.

My low key favorite line in this movie is the spurbury Captain saying," I like you" after Brian Cox says they don't like each other. Along with ,"the lice hate the sugar" he has some of the best dead pan deliveries ever.

I totally agree with you. For me my personal favorite is the scene when Foster discovers the Weed in the Winnebago and tells the whole squad. Then O'Hagen says "I'll believe that when me own shit turns purple and smells like Rainbow Sherbet.

One of my other favourite idiot comedies is based in a Shenanigans restaurant, if you haven't seen "Waiting..." then you should, anyone who loves Super Troopers would love that movie. After watching that movie the first time anyone who entered the kitchen where I worked would be greeted with "Welcome to the Thunderdome, bitch!" I'm assuming due to both films referencing them that Shenanigans must be a chain of restaurants in the US?

Man you guys missed out on the credit scene, I think. it shows why Farva got suspended off the road. During the credits it shows dashcam footage of Farva having pulled over a school bus. As he was walking to the driver's side the students inside, young kids, were dumping things on him. Apparently Farva got fed up with it that he went inside. Then moments later the door on the back of the bus opened and Farva came tumbling out as students got out and started beating on him. Farva responded by grabbing and lifting one up in the air. And that is why he was on the radio in the beginning of the film.

In the commentary they talk about the syrup chugging scene. Originally they used ice tea but it didnt look real enough, so they actually had to chug 3 bottles of syrup each.

If you notice when Rabbit struggles to go back and finish his bottle of syrup it’s because they filled that scene three times and he stand an actual bottle of maple syrup each time. Afterwards he went into a hard crash in his trailer for several hours 😂 crazy guys. Also when he was covered in shaving cream he didn’t realize it was menthol and immediately ran to the fire department next door to be hosed off due to his skin burning.

Not the 2nd super troopers movie but the broken lizard movie that came after this one really is. It's called Beerfest and it's one of the greatest silly comedies of all time.

Absolutely love these Broken Lizard guys. They tread that fine line between intentionally and unintentionally funny so effortlessly. This was their first big hit, so I feel like it's a little awkward in places, but their next two movies (Club Dread, BeerFest) are even funnier. Hope you guys keep going. I swear, Club Dread may be one of the funniest things out there that no one knows exists.

It was popular after it came out. It was big when it hit DVD after the marketing company sent out tons of copies to everyone in the business. It was a smart decision and helped vault it to the all-time classic it is.

I think the reason comedy worked back in the day is it was usually written between friends who could build on top of an already funny scenario. Nowadays, the writing room is a bunch of people who were put together and organized by CEOs.

Fun Pot Fact: Eating buds by themselves 'straight out of the bag' will not get you high and if it does it'll be at a loss of about 97% of the potential high you'd get from smoking it or properly making it into edibles. You need to apply a temperature equal to or slightly above 210 degrees F for decarboxylation of THC-A (which is not psychoactive) into THC (which gets you high). The syrup drinking scene was genuine - they were chugging bottles of real syrup. Also, during the locker scene the actor playing Rabbit was covered in menthol shaving cream, which caused extreme pain to the actor.

Since you guys liked this one the same group did a couple other dumb fun movies. "Club Dread" is a comedy horror they did and "Slamin Salmon" about a restaurant. All of them are just fun to watch.

now you need to see Super Troopers 2. fun fact. because the studios wouldnt found the movie up front, the guys got a go fund me page going to croud fund the start up for the movie, because of such a big fan response, the campaign produced $2 million in seed money in 24 hours (and $4.7 million overall), after that happened, the studios gave it the green light.

You two initially annoyed me in the intro, but you highlighted some of the best jokes and the epilogue in your video (you gotta break them thoroughly) convinced me to sub. This movie is the perfect example of a one off early 2000’s comedy. So many great hilarious movies that were original scripts. Not a series just great funny movies. So rare to see good comedies like this today Edit yes I know there is a second movie. That mistake is exactly what is wrong about Hollywood today

Hey meow someone finally reacted to Super Troopers and not just anybody, you guys!!👊 Meow this is in my top 10 favorite comedies. So glad you enjoyed it. On a different note, I wanted to suggest a movie. Black Butterfly. Have not seen anyone react to it. I think it would be under the genre of suspense. It is the first movie I have seen in many years that has a really good surprise ending. Hope you get to watch it. Keep rocking on. 🤘

Characters like Farva give them something to latch the cringy stuff to, it gives the audience a common enemy I think. It also makes the character endearing because we all know that person irl. My co-birthday friend and I went to see ST2 on 420 ,it was so much funnier than I expected, even more cringe, but also more relatable somehow too. The actors I wasn't expecting to see were HILARIOUS, definitely hoping you will watch the sequel ❤

It was funny with me and some other LEO’s. Made it even funnier when we saw a woman in holding licking the window. There is a part 2, most of these films are financed by the fans
