“the seniors always get far in the NCAAs” “its young kids against older gentlemen” these were the excuses used in Kentucky’s loss to Oakland. Duke is starting 3 sophomores 1 star freshman and 1 senior-not entirely one and done but a well rounded young rotation-and DOMINATED the first 2 rounds. granted it was Vermont and James Madison, but Wisconsin couldn’t beat them and Auburn couldn’t beat Yale. Sure a talent gap may exist in today’s matchup but coaching matters, Jon Scheyer did an excellent job today.

He has the formula to go to the Final Four this year. What’s weird is the regular season games but it is what it is. This team reminds me of that 2015 team slightly. Just hope my Blue Devils can stay focused the rest of this tournament.

I only see Duke going to the Elite 8 if Texas Tech won. But with Houston, I think this is the end of the season. Scheyer has not been a good coach for Duke, but he somehow coaches his way to the Final Four....Duke may have a monster coach for the next few decades.

ACC with all 4 teams in the sweet 16. "Experts" talked trash and dogged the ACC all season and now with all 4 teams from the 64 team bracket are in the sweet 16 for 100% win for ACC teams and 25% of the sweet 16 are ACC teams. ACC might be down a little but still the class of the field. Lets Go Duke 🏀 🏆

I love Duke, but the Sweet 16 will be as far as they go. You can't expect to shoot lights out like that against Houston. The only way they can win is McCain having another dominant performance with Proctor chipping in.

They might as well play on Houstons home court. Houston is a very good team and the crowd is gonna be 99% Houston fans but I absolutely believe Duke is gonna win. Houston can't defend great without fouling(Duke has a problem with it as well but) so Duke needs to take advantage of that and the free throw line something the Aggies failed to capitalize on, plus if Duke stays hot shooting like they have so far in the tournament they can beat Houston. Duke has been in every game they've played this year with a chance to win in the final minutes, 1 loss by 9 points and the other 7 was by either 4 points or 5 points, Houston was just blown out by Iowa state recently by 28 points and was held to 41 points, yes 41 tiny points. Which was the 2nd time Iowa state beat them this season, Kansas beat them by 13 and their other loses was close and a few not so great teams they barely beat. Houston is not unbeatable and Dukes gonna show them this Friday. Let's Go Duke

Ima be real I think we got a great chance to beat Houston I’m not saying we should be favored but there is nothing that I saw in Houston that we can’t compete with if we can win the rebound battle we will be in real good shape and Sean Stewart is gonna be a player that we need to have a good game when he’s on the floor he’s the most athletic guy on our team and we need his defense and rebounding to neutralize Houston’s second chance opportunities if we can play through our guards and allow flip to just make the right decisions when he has the ball whether that’s kicking out to a open shooter or taking advantage when he has a one on one matchup then we should be the ones at an advantage I think we are the bigger team and we need to impose our size on them and not allow them to use their speed to hurt us💯 gonna be an awesome game but I’ll stick to the same thing I said when I saw our Bracket there is absolutely no reason why we could t make the final 4 and now that it’s Houston NC St Marquette left in our region I really don’t see one team in in their that we can’t compete with💯….. side note I think although his minutes will be limited Jaylen Blakes is going to be big for us in this game his speed on the defensive end has caused problems for opponents in our 1st 2 games and when he is given time he normally produces a few steals a game… that can be huge against a team like Houston who can beat us off the bounce I would put him on Sharp to take away the deep threat and force them to beat us with Shead if he got 40 but we cancel out everybody else we win this game💯

Classy keeping your starters in with 30+ pt leads in the 2nd half. Roach was still in with 4 minutes left and up 36. Meanwhile, Purdue, with a similar large lead, emptied its bench early. Everyone played.
