ENGLISH CAPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE. Big thanks to my friend RaiN for doing them. He makes sick music so please check out his social media up in the description box TIMESTAMPS: Punishment 1:27 | Key Moves 6:44 | Gameplan: 22:01 | Combos: 24:26 EDITING ERROR AT 27:23 The image is supposed to show d4, 1, 1+2, but it shows d1, 1+2 instead. Sorry bout that. I got sleepy while editing and didn't notice I guess. MISTAKE AT 23:51 Db2 should not be on this list. Accidentally mixed it up in the script

so how are others not confused at these naming conventions like I14, i played this on ps4 why not use the names on the practice move list?. even on pc i will be replicating them with similar inputs from the ps4 console if it weren't for the diagrams on screen with inputs there would have been no reason to continue watching after 4 minutes ive played the series since tekken 2 using familiar terms that are more accessible to originally console players would have increased the overall quality of this video example "down,forward,forward,2" at little after 3:20 unless the "I" is an anagram for "instance" that's kinda okay but you could have used controller inputs corresponding with the xbox or ps4 controller are you using some weird pc controller? that's not standardized? that makes sense but that would have been a simple script change and got a better result for that im giving a dislike for that to each his own right.

@@Omega_1306 The i followed by a number is not a weird naming convention. It shows how many frames it takes for a move to start up. For example at 3:26, the move df 4, 2 takes 14 frames before actually hitting (hence the i14). Hope this helped!

Fantastic production! This is no doubt the best Noctis KZfaq guide, not just because it's the only one that's up-to-date, but because it's goddamn well made. Clear explanations, good audio mixing, well timed demonstrations on screen... you did everything right!

These are very standard terms used by all Tekken players who take the game even mildly seriously. 1, 2, 3, and 4 are used over the console/PC button notations so that they can be used universally regardless of which platform you play on. These universal notations in the video have been used for over 2 decades, and based on the fact that you're the only person to complain about the use of them, clearly it isn't an issue of the notations I used, rather you didn't learn them. These are VERY COMMON notations and you will see them in the majority of Tekken guides/tutorials, so if you don't even bother to learn them despite having played for so long, it's nobody's fault but yours if you don't understand them

This was an amazing video. I am just getting into Tekken for the first time and I am trying to main the character Noctis. This video had everything I needed. I really liked how you had a section where you broke down each one of his moves, where discussed his combos in specific situations, and where you discussed the best ways to play the character in most situations. I wish all fighting game character tutorials were like this one.

Hello Duke, your video was EXCELLENT. A clear concise demonstration of S3 Noctis tools. This was necessary as his two signature moves were nerfed. Noctis players will need to understand his other tools and understand both how and why certain tools will work better than others given certain fighting scenarios. Once again...bravo! I am impressed!

Thank you, this was very high quality. I have been strutting with noctis easy stuff for a couple of months as I only play him sporadically but I didn't know any thing apart from some key moves and easy mode combos. I didn't even know what his Rage drive and power crush was lol. Its good to finally see his gameplan, oki setups, wall pressure and other tools to use. He is easy for sure but you still have to give him time to master him I guess as I have sort of hit a wall when I pick noctis against red ranks who know the match up.

As of right now I'm not sure her changes are enough to warrant a full remake of it, especially since one of these guides takes very long to make, so I'm not sure if it's worth it. If you're interested I do have a breakdown video up on her S3 changes. Maybe in the future like a Season 4 I'll do it but right now I don't think I'll update that guide

 @Duke KC Hello! Thank you very much for the response, and apologies for this one being late.. Yeah, I've seen your take on her S3 changes; her previous seasons' tiger knockdowns and b+2 changes and not causing wall splat were a huuuge nerf, sadly..And yup, most of her staple combos are still usable, and the additional move acts a longer wall carry. Again, thank you very much, and keep up the fantastic work! Your guides are really, really useful :D Thanks again!

In lower ranks i have found that db 2 - df 2- f f 4 does like 71 damage and then right after that you can do the roll slide to get back to the other side and just after that you do db 2 for about 100damage i think 1 person has blocked the roll charge after the combo. And to set up the huge ORA i usually do the db 2 like 2 times then i do the ora so they get caught low blocking

i've spent more then hundred hours learning this game, i can do kbd (not well, but pretty decent), i can do dragunov's crouch dash cancel combos maybe 3-4 times out of 10, i know framedata for the characters i've labbed, it's only 3 of them, but whatever. i know a lot of things about this game (and still have much more to learn, i know), i keep practice them, and still i'm getting fucking DESTROYED by literally anybody who play this game more then 20 hours cause i can't do shit outside the practice mode. my friend, who barely practice anything and just keep playing ranked just fucking win every time with any character against my "mains" (well, i can't say they are truly, just characters i know at least something about). i can't even describe how much i'm tired of loosing. idk why i'm saying all this, nobody gives a fuck, just decided to try an easy char, so yeah, thanks for the guide. keep up the good work mate

Everyone has different understandings of a game, and some need a lot more times to improve, bit you don't have to believe that all you do is useless, believe me, I know it's annoying to try/learn without getting rewarded, you need just more time, don't give up ! (I'm french, sorry if I made mistakes while writing to you, I just wanted to say that you can inprove with any character, you just need a bit more time than others, maybe because you learn a lot of differents things at the same time)

Hey man are you stil playing the game? If you play on Pc we can play sometimes. I had a really hard time with losing aswell. Losing against players who are clearly not putting any effort in improving but just use gimmicks and spamming strings so you have to guess and lose. The best advice I got back then was from Aris saying that winning and losing doesnt matter but learning and improving after each match is more important. Im not that great a player myself but im proud that I reached the red ranks.

nice video bro, however, you forgot to mention b2 1+2, one of the best moves in his arsenal.
@KeithJamesChua
@KeithJamesChua 4 жыл бұрын
b2, 1+2 is far from an important move in his arsenal. While it is a safe 15f mid, it's hard to hitconfirm, does okay damage, fairly slow to recover on whiff for a fast mid and isn't really good as a poke since it leaves him at -9 on block. It's not a bad move, but isn't really useful as a neutral tool, making it pretty non essential to play Noctis. Hence I didn't include it.
@dboypompeyreturns
@dboypompeyreturns 4 жыл бұрын
@@KeithJamesChua Id be inclined to disagree. The just frame 1+2 is pretty easy to get with practice and does over 30 damage i think. I wouldn't be using it as a poke, as its too slow and range is rubbish. As a round ender on get up, i think it's really good.
@KeithJamesChua
@KeithJamesChua 4 жыл бұрын
While I don't disagree and think that you're completely right, I just feel like there are better options to use. For example, on wake-up I prefer to use something like df4, 2, which is less minus on block, does decent damage, and most importantly, extremely delayable and easy to hit-confirm, which imo, kinda makes b2 a little obsolete since it's harder to get the just-frame and the extension only comes out on hit
@dboypompeyreturns
@dboypompeyreturns 4 жыл бұрын
@@KeithJamesChua Interesting. Didn't realise df4,2 was hit confirmable. Id say to end a round either option is good. Tho id fuck up the hit confirm on df4, 2 and see myself get launched, hence why i mentioned b2, 1+2.
