Russian Patriotic Song: Farewell of Slavianka

Farewell of Slavianka is a Russian patriotic march, written by the composer Vasily Agapkin in honour of the Slavic women accompanying their husbands in the First Balkan War. The march was written and premiered in Tambov in the end of 1912. In summer of 1915 it was released as a gramophone single in Kiev. Slavyanka means "Slavic woman".
The march was used as an unofficial anthem of Admiral Kolchak's White Army. In addition, the melody is used, with different lyrics, as the anthem of the Tambov Oblast.

FRANÇAIS: L'Adieu de Slavianka est une marche patriotique russe, écrite par le compositeur Vassili Agapkine en l'honneur des femmes slaves disant adieu à leurs maris en partance pour la Première Guerre balkanique. La marche fut représentée pour la première fois à Tambov en 1912 et sortit ensuite en disque. Slavianka signifie « slave » au féminin.
La mélodie obtint une rapide popularité en Russie, mais aussi dans les pays voisins pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, alors que les soldats russes quittaient leurs foyers au son de cette musique. Cette marche fut également utilisée comme hymne non officiel de l'Armée blanche de l'amiral Alexandre Vassilievitch Koltchak. Actuellement, la marche est reconnue comme hymne de l'oblast de Tambov.
РУССКИЙ: «Проща́ние славя́нки» - марш, написанный в 1912 году штаб-трубачом 7-го запасного кавалерийского полка, стоявшего в Тамбове, Василием Агапкиным под впечатлением от событий Первой Балканской войны (1912-1913). По существу является национальным маршем, символизирующим проводы на войну, на военную службу или в дальнее путешествие. За границами России является одним из самых узнаваемых «музыкальных символов» Российской империи, Советского Союза и Российской Федерации.

@@ClosemyheartAlthough Russia🇷🇺 is a multicultural country, the titular nation is the Russians (that is, the Slavs). Ps, although we are Russians and are the titular nation, we treat other nationalities very well (Tatars, Vainakhs, Komi, Buryats, etc..) to our great Motherland Russia🇷🇺.

I remember this majectic anthem from my childhood. My Grandfather fought in Admiral Alexander Kolchak's White Army. At that time he was a young officer about 20 years old. He graduated Omsk Military School, fought in WW1 in the Army of Russian Empire. After the defeat and execution of Admiral Kolchak, the most of his officers were prisoned in Siberian prison. My Grandfather told me about the incredible fortitude of the White Army officers - the so-called psychological attack against Bolsheviks. I have my Grandfather's photo in the form of the White Army officer - exactly as it looks in historical pictures. I’m crying when I listen this majectic song. Thank You and respect for the keeping the glorious history alive.

@Cringe2Win Yes, indeed! My Grandfather learned me to fight for the true and honesty. Even if this fight is lost, the true man shall never betray his comrades-in-arms and his ideals. He survived two world wars and dead at his 82 years old. My reminiscence about Grandfather remained very bright. He was strong-willed, kind-hearted and wise.

I have saved two historical photos of my Grandfather: one photo in 1920, when he was the young officer of Admiral Kolchak's Siberian Army - with the full ammunition: a gun and sabre; and another photo in the form of Lithuanian Army officer in 1929. After the release from imprisonment in Irkutsk in 1922, my Grandfather returned to his home city. Many more photos are saved at my parents home archive.

Most Slavic languages are similar to each other since they split quite recently, same with Germanic and Romance Languages. Indo-Iranian languages on the other hand are very different from each other.

I am Slovak born in 1990. I can speak two foreign languages, but I never liked learning languages from books. I was watching Russian movies and listening to Russian songs for many months now, and finally I am starting to understand Russian text as a whole, not only separate words now and then :)

The American Army fought through the Germans on the ground, and it was only thanks to the American air campaign that the Soviets won the Battle of Kursk, because the Germans has a very effective bomber (also very well known) called the Stuka that would have destroyed the Russian tanks, however the Germans had to relocate most of their Air Force to fighting the American Army Air Force. The US basically won Korea, would have won Vietnam if Nixon had stayed, and won the Cold War. Back to World War II the US Marines fought brutal battles with the Japanese, and beat them. The Soviets did invade Manchuria and cause the Japanese to surrender but it is still the case that the American military fought their way to that point. Finally just take a look at the First Persian Gulf War, and just use your Brain for once. Finally look at the War between Russia and Ukraine and ask who is doing better, remembering Ukraine has a tenth the military budget of Russia.

Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. Thank you very much for your time. Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them). Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI). Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! Most of them are protestants , but decent amount of catholics as well. People think buddhism is the major religion of SouthKorea, but actually there are more Christians than Buddhists.
