In this New World Flail Ability Breakdown, we'll go over all Flail skills in-depth with the currently available information. We'll also be looking at both of the available capstone perks and how you can use them to help your team. The Cleric skill tree abilities are Arcane Smite, Arcane Vortex and Arcane Eruption. The Capstone, Better Together, passively heals allies near you. The Bastion skill tree contains Barrage, Trip and Warding Bludgeon. This tree's capstone is Human Shield, which allows you to absorb a portion of the damage your allies take.

A 16m gap closer is kind of crazy, that means you can easily catch burnout or charge even if you react slow to it and then have the melee slow on them

Hmm I'm not entirely sure if that will be the case. Charge is 15m but to me it looks like the animation is a lot faster, so you'd be able to create more distance. Burnout has a longer animation which I think is overall more similar to Flail animation time, but it's also 18m. Can't say for sure until we can test it ingame. Imo the bigger deal is having no player collision, which makes it an extremely good escape, like Relentless Rush

Yeah this is OP. It seems like its a guaranteed catch to range and then a guaranteed kill due to the melee slow and how oppressive that is.

This weapon looks amazing. I have always loved the flail and I don’t think I’ve seen very many if any mmos use it as a weapon. I had a transmog flail on WoW and I just think the weapon looks super cool. Adding the arcane damage element to it is also pretty awesome. That’s a W for AGS

For Arcane Eruption it will be useful in PvP for the reason that the first hit is the only one that matters. You probably will be able to dodge out of the first hit. 2 stacks is really good to apply.

Im new to the game and im definitely goin GS + Flail, that dash and jump will make it so fun. Dashy warriors are always my fav.

Ironically I probably still prefer it over rapier. Keep in mind that the zoom zoom doesn't have any CC immunity, so you have to burn stone form as well to guarantee an escape

This looks great. Let's hope they don't nerf it into the ground. I love Paladin builds. Definitely looking forward to finally having the weapon combo that would be my first choice since day one had it been available.

This is really a great weapon option for healers since it scales with Focus. There aren't a lot of healing in it but this is a viable option for those healers looking for a good or maybe even better melee option without relying on amber gem to scale the damage.

I would definitely still slot an Amber since it's STR/FOC scaling, similar to how many players slot ele gems in Rapier even though it scales DEX/INT already.

We know that there are at least some adjustments coming to Musket via perk changes. We don't know the total scale of them, but they haven't talked about balance changes to weapons much in general yet.

I'm still waiting for a mage weapons that make you feel like a mage those glove your close mage or hybrid assassin I can only use the staff to be a real mage. Where is my wand, elemental staff, book to cast spell or some random stuff floting around me.

well it's not really worthless, since this would be a good melee option for healers since you really don't have to use amber gem to scale up its dmg and i think focus is just a secondary stat to it.

@@whalehellotherebrudah1882 wrong. You need strength to to do damage most real healers fun with 350 to 400 focus which leaves no room for strength thats why we all use the void gauntlet it uses focus and does good damage.

I bet either nodes or weapon perks will make it less offensive and more healy
