Love that you show a safe way to position the weights above chest before the movement. Lat engagement cue is excellent.

Thanks for the tutorial. It would be nice to have a bench so that I can get that nice stretch when on the negative (dropping the weight down) The floor prevents that. But it's better than not working out at all! Thanks again!

Do flyes and then presses. With the same (lighter) weight. Superset😀

Thank you very much, but when I increase the weight, it becomes very difficult to lift the dumbbells. The bone pain on the sides of my forearm is bad.

Selam dostum ben de aynı sorunu yaşıyorum. Ayaktayken ağırlıkları eline alıp hızlı ve kontrollü bir haraketle yere oturursan haraketi yapmak için gerekli pozisyona daha kolay geçiyorsun. Ama dikkat etmek gerek yere otururken kontrolü kaybedersen sakatlık çıkabilir allah korusun. Ama yerde otururken ağırlıkları dizine koymaya çalışmaktan daha kolay geliyor bana.

Definitely. When you touch the elbows to the ground all tension is gone at the bottom of the movement. Time under tension is important.

First day impressions:It arrived in a waist high box. kzfaq.infoUgkxP26Tir6n60vUkdtn4mbwhRO8cwuJQNy2 Each dumbbell was in its own foam box within the shipping box. Everything was secure and in good shape. No weird smells. The weight changing mechanism is really smooth and straight forward. Changing weight is really fast and easy. Though the handle is plastic, I don't think it will be breaking anytime soon. So far pretty impressed after my first session with them. I was afraid they were going to be too wide at first, but I didn't have any issues with them while doing upright rows.

with this variation (i.e., with emphasis on scapular stability), arched works best

This is a great exercise to do when the stretch is what fails but you still have more juice in you.

Definitely. It's a great exercise and helps you work on the technical aspect of a solid chest press too (scapular retraction setting, 90 degree elbow bend at bottom phase, for example)

Ralph Diab u need to slightly rotate your shoulders back pull ur chest up. Then when you push the dumbells up do like a slight squeeze. Also i would advise you to start off at a low weight so you can improve your form.

I don't agree on resting the elbows on the ground. You lose tension if you do so.

I like to use this technique to force the body to re-engage while maintaining strictness. But yes, not resting on the ground is fine too

Other than using a standard gym step or perhaps even a plank of wood, you could use a swiss ball to get into the correct angle for the incline press. To do this, lay on the swiss ball and then bend your knees so that your butt becomes lower to the floor and you're somewhat in a squat position

And why bring up the knees keeping it pointed to above direction while doing the exercise? What's the difference between keeping the legs straight and bending it like this?

To take pressure of your lower back. The whole point of floor press is to elevate the back injury and shoulder injury! Hope that helps ever since I switched to floor presses I’ve no pain whatsoever
