Dumping Ground FOUND! - Magnet Fishing UK
So im back in bishop stortford magnet fishing for treasure with a fishing magnet in the local river, this is the same river where i found an antique pistol.
Bishop Stortford has a shallow river running through it and then widens up closer to the town centre where there are canal boats, i didnt think i would find much in the shallow river with my fishing magnet but boy was i wrong,i found 2 bikes, cash box, barrel of a gun and various other things.
The bikes had been thrown off bridges into the river from the bridges but i managed to remove them out of the water with my fishing magnet.
Magnet fishing is gaining popularity and there will be some interesting things coming out of uk rivers with fishing magnets and there is loads of cash box found magnetfischen.

@drasticg
@drasticg 6 жыл бұрын
hi Andrew you never know where is the best spots, even I go out and find nothing all day but to increase your chances you need to go to any local rough areas with high crime rates and fish under and around bridges and the more populated the area the more stuff you will find on a side note even remote areas could have still in the water so just go out and have fun

drasticg Standon is near Puckeridge and Buntingford. The River Rib runs through it and the old Buntingford Train Line ran adjacent to it quite a few years back with quite a few crossings over the river. If you want an inkling of what it's like down here, check out my vlog titled 'the one where I go outside' or if you're ever down this neck of the woods in the evenings or weekends, I'm happy to meet up and show you around buddy

Magnet fishing is fun and way better than the claw machine at Wal-Mart/local store or magnet fishing is a box of chocolates unless you look at the lid you never know what your gonna get but it's all perfectly sweet lol cuz some things you can sell some you return to the owner for a better feeling you and the rest is trash or saveto show people what you found and don't forget pictures of things you gave back or sold

Sorry, not a weirdo here as I have been commenting a lot but I have an idea. In regards to the bikes being chucked over the bridges. What if there was a Marathon Magnetic Competition where financially disadvantage kids could win a bike if they participated in a marathon magnetic competition. A large garbage bin per competitor and whoever got the bins full could get a bike. The sponsor could be a bike company or a store could sponsor the competition. It would clean up the water way , get kids out from their phones and give them a sense of accomplishment by doing something and receiving a just reward. About a 4-6 hour competition. There could be smaller prizes as well like MC Donald's gift cards etc.

HI, Would something like this rope be suitable with a 220kg magnet ?, i was a little concerned, looking at the thickness i though it would not be strong enough ... any comments ??? thanks 550 Paracord Parachute Cord Lanyard Mil Spec Type III 7 Strand Core Length:25ft/50ft/100 ft (7.75m/15m/31m) Minimum breaking strength:550lb Core yarns:7 strands Diameter:approx 3.5-4mm/0.138"-0.158"

What type and pull of a magnet did u use for this? Going to start and just ordered our first magnet - thinking its a great way of keeping the kids off the xbox!! Plus, they would be outdoors. drasticg yes, things like thàt can be hard to get back to the owner (s), Especially if there is no serial #. I guess the other thing would be to see if the theft was reported to the local police. (Along with a 1000 other stolen bikes). You and/or your son's May just have a new bike to ride.

Cool video. Do you always tie the rope to something?. With cold hands it would be easy to let it slip out the hands I've just discovered a technique to try and find my bracelet I lost in the river 4 years ago 😂 . First throw of a tennis ball into the river and my dog dived in catching my £350 bracelet and taking it in with him . It was a night of crying and drowning my sorrows with beer 😂 .

@@drasticg it was up in Scotland beside a posh house. I'd sneaked into the garden using it as a short cut on my way home. It cuts 25 mins off the journey. I threw the tennis ball at a bit of their garden backing onto the river. My mate tries magnet fishing but I had no idea what it was until I watched your videos. I'll ask him if he'll help me find it. Cheers mate. Great videos
