My absolute favorite hubby story was us in the car backing out of a parking spot. He looked out the windows and then reached over to turned off the radio. I asked him why he turned it off and he ,as serious as can be, says "So I can see to back up" I laugh and said, " You see with your ears now?" He just looks at me a good minute, turns the radio back on and tells me "Shut up you do crazy crap all the time"

Here in the UK we call your potato bugs, wood lice. They eat wood which can be destructive if in a home, but otherwise they're pretty harmless. They just kind of bumble around with little to no awareness of others around them. LOL! I'm the accident prone one in the house - I set fire to AND flooded my kitchen at the SAME time the first time I made jam. XD My husband, bless him, loses things - his glasses, his keys, his wallet. I'm asked where they are.....like I know? Since when did I become some kind of all knowing being? XD XD

My husband thought he’d be sweet and do some laundry, well he put the laundry soap in the center in the dirt and lint catcher (this was an older wash machine with the center piece that sticks up), it got clogged up and needless to say the laundry needed to be rewashed

Just love you all and everything you do!! I'm in Tennessee and have started doing the same. I got discouraged last week when a DG manager came out and cussed me infront of my 3 year old. He called me f'n scum of the earth and told me to get a job (i work 2 jobs plus dumpster dive) i dont understand why ppl can be so mean.

So it’s 5pm here in Australia. Most of my USA tubers post when I am asleep. Not complaining , just great I can watch at a reasonable time. I have tried watching other dumpster divers and none measure up to you.

My hubby took the lid of the pressure cooker without waiting. After I told him not to do that. He wasn't burnt, but I left him to clean up because I was a bit miffed.

My guy is really, really smart in a lot of ways. You can give him any technology and he'll have it figured out by the end of the day. He even troubleshoots tech he's never used before. And yet, the most basic, simple things stump him. Every week (EVERY.WEEK) he asks what the expiry dates on vegetables are because he doesn't see a date on them. Because they are vegetables, sir. How does he forget every week? One time, very early in our relationship, he was going to make me breakfast. He was going to make pancakes, which I'm not into but I wasn't going to tell him that because I appreciated the gesture, but breakfast never made it because "it wouldn't become a pancake, he couldn't flip it" The issue, it turns out, is he was using the instant pancake mix. He added the water. He never stirred it. He.Never.Stirred.It. He was trying to cook powder and water in a frying pan. What even?

Hi Shannon and Beth, great dive tonight! We call them potato bugs or roly polys. When my niece was little, many years ago, we caught her carrying around just her doll head. Yes just her doll head, and we asked her why, this was inside the house by the way, she said cause its their home. We said who's home? She said my friends and tipped the head and it was full of those potato bugs! My sister, her mom, started screaming at my niece and was yelling "Get those damn bugs out of my house!!!" It was hilarious!!! Also, as far as your shower curtain, maybe you could try to put some magnets at the bottom of it so if it ever happens again maybe not as much water will pour out. Just a thought. Much love from Indiana!!!!😀🤗😁 Edit: Everyone should always donate their old phones to the women's shelter because even if they are not activated for use, you can still dial 911 if you have an emergency. And some of these women leave horrible situations and possibly might need to use the phone for that purpose. It really sucks but unfortunately it's the reality that some of these women face. My mom was one of those unfortunate women back in the day, and there were no cell phones then.....

OMG my ex husband never got up in the morning with our daughter and one morning he decided to go get her out of her crib. Well he never saw how wet her diaper was every morning and he got soaked when he picked her up. He looked at me and said "I thought the diapers heald up to 20 lbs???" I laughed so hard and said not 20 lbs of piss, but 20lbs of baby. He didn't like me telling that story.

I asked my husband to install a light over my laundry sink in the basement. I came home from work and saw a nice fixture over the sink! Yay!! But he didn't run electricity to it!!OMG!

I had a bread machine in our first apartment with a removable hook. I told my hubby not to put the hook in the dishwasher. Did he listen? No. I swear he has extremely selective hearing. He ran the load before I got home & melted the nonstick coating off the hook. We used to have a great place nearby that had replacements, so he was literally off the hook😁

My husband and I were shopping and just looking at all the specialty type stores. He saw a "nails" store and thought it was for carpentry type nails. I laughed until I stopped at that one. I do love watching your dumpster dance. You have the best dumpster diving of all and donate most of it. So it went from me watching you and Beth by myself once the kiddos were settled down, to now my 4 and almost 3 year old watching with me and watching when they get their tablet free time 🤣😂 I got them hooked, so now they say " mommy has tia (aunty) Shannon and tia beth made a new dumpster movie yet" ? 🤣😂 And don't get me started on when they see the girls .... They get so happy and ask if they can come over to play 🤣😂🤣 I tell them they live really far away in another state and they get so sad 💕💕 it's safe to say my girls love y'all too 💞

My husband fixed the kitchen sink once. Took the drain out from under the sink, laid on his back under the sink, took the small bowl where the water had drained out, and without thinking just lifted the bowl up over the edge of the sink and poured it in......OMG....LOL.....of course the water just splashed down on his head!!! I literally laid on the kitchen floor and laughed until I cried~~~~

Great haul ladies! When my husband was younger we need to change a light switch in a house we were renting at the time (Yep I know people already are laughing and know what happened) I told him go down cellar and take the fuse out so he won't get shocked of course do men listen to us women No!!! He tells me I'll be ok I can do it without getting shocked I told him please go do it no no I can do it trust me I said do say I didn't warn you. Yep he got shock went half way across the room of course I check to see if he was ok but I laughed my behind off at him and said next time I bet you listen to me next time won't you 😂😂😂!!! We both laugh about it till this day about it and of course he still doesn't ever listen so you know he gets a lot of I told you so's🤣🤣🤣!

This wasn’t really a “duh” moment but it was flipping hilarious! My husband and I but mostly my husband built. 12 x12 foot utility shed from scratch. Jim even built the rafters himself. It was towards the end of the project late one nite and he had come in for a cup of coffee just laughing. He had been nailing down shingles on the shed roof and had a good rhythm going. All of a sudden when he moved to go on to the next row he was stuck and couldn’t move one of his feet. Well - he had nailed himself by way of his bootlace right down to the roof! It was so damn funny! That was also the spring that as a part joke with practical use he got me a pair of crowbars and put big pink bows on them for Mother’s Day. And later a few years that sweet man of mind was fighting cancer so he was in the garage hanging out with me while I put together a small push lawn mower - just putting on the wheels and the handle - no big deal. That day he gave ma the sweetest compliment ever. Jim looked at me with true admiration and said “honey, I’m sure glad you’re not one of those girly girls.” And I knew exactly what he meant. He realized that sad as it would be after he passed (he was terminal at this point). I would be able to take care of myself with a little love and understanding of our friends and family. So keeep on appreciating that man of yours and all his goofy quirks AND remind him curtains on the inside of shower!!❤

One Christmas morning I had given my husband a crossbow. It had like a handgun trigger on it. Something that is used for hunting. He saw a mouse on our counter and shot the crossbow at it. He missed the mouse. He broke two of my new christmas canisters and the broken glass killed the mouse. Our company got a good laugh. Another Christmas I got him several different tools and things. One thing was a new leaf blower. He plugged it in, turned it on, and aimed it at our dog. It knock d him over.
