Shannon, I will probably go back and binge watch your videos! I've been watching for a couple of months now, and I love your videos! I love your adorable laugh, it makes me laugh with you!! I have so much respect and admiration for what you and Beth do! I love seeing the things you get from the dumpsters that can be put to use, and not end up in a landfill. About the comment that was made, don't EVER be sorry for being kind and for having a big heart. Too many people these days just don't understand the concept of being kind. It takes ZERO EFFORT to be kind, and in your case, you go that extra mile with your donations. Don't ever change that!! I appreciate you!! My heart aches for you both 😔 I know how unbelievably kind, sweet , caring & amazing you are so I can only imagine your hubby being the same way , it’s just not fair 🥺. I truly wish cancer could only affect people that are child predators, murders etc. it always seems to affect the kind, loving & sweet people I swear 😔. Please know I’m keeping you both in my prayers. I am praying for a miracle for your hubby. 🙏🏻 I will also ask my mother in law to put him on the prayer chain at her church 💜💜💜💜 ❤️

I have had people ask why I rescue animals/ volunteer for animal rescues. ( basically they are asking why not help humans) I tell them I do what speaks to my heart. Animals have spoke to my heart since I was a small child. And that's why I do it. It's a LABOR OF LOVE. Then I , when they get a little judgey with me , I ask Them in the nicest way possible .... what do you do ....what speaks speaks to your heart ? It's amazing how many judgy people don't do "anything ". So , don't worry about the judgy people. You keep doing what your heart tells you to do. Your labor of love shines through in so many people's lives. That's what matters Shannon.

Girl. I love your spirit. You have a genuine and giving heart and I applaud you for doing what you do. It is appalling the amount of merchandise that is just tossed in the dumpsters just to go to a landfill. And shame on Burlington and several more stores that purposely slash their merchandise. I have seen other fellow dumpster divers on here that have found cases and cases of school supplies. So much to where it all couldn’t fit in her mini van. I wish there were more dumpsters I could access but down here in the south, they have these dumpsters that is connected to the building and you need a special tool to open it. Anyways. You keep doing you girl. And the fact that you doing it in that cold ass snow and ice…. Girl. High five 🤚🏼

I have watched other dumpster videos and I must say there is a few the donate like you do and others that sell the stuff they find, but I must say seeing all the divers that donate warms my heart. I wish there was ppl like you living I. Canada helping others out. I myself am very lucky that I have a grown son that helps me out and a friend that does too. Gosh, the person that made the comment you felt you had to explain yourself to should be happy that you choose to donate so much of what you find to help others instead of selling it for your own gain. Bless you and Beth for what you do and making the choice to help others that desperately need it. Most of the dumpster divers I watch all donate a big portion of what they find to help those in need even though one of them obviously has very little themselves. This world needs more people with such giving hearts and will think of others and not just themselves. Keep on diving and doing what you do. You do make a difference!

OMG, Shannon. I'm in tears after hearing you talk about the selfish fools that have no clue... I have a friend who works for a large school district as a family counselor. The heartbreaking stories she tells of the children who come to school in the same clothes for weeks or are wearing flip-flops in winter because they grew out of their shoes. She has visited homes where they don't have bed coverings. Just a blanket on an old mattress...I can't even....it's awful. It makes me weep. so to help Whenever I shop, I have 2 sections in my cart. One for home and one for the food and personal needs pantry AT THE SCHOOL. Yes people, if you didn't know, most districts need to have those offering so the kids can go to the pantry and get toothpaste/brush, deodorant, shampoo....and food to take home. To think about the children caught up in situations they have no control over devastates me. I have clients with massive wealth that have that 'get a job' attitude, and I get enraged inside when they speak to it. So keep doing what you're doing. You're helping keep little boys and girls who are too young to help themselves get food and clothing. They families dont know it, but YOU are their angel they pray to every night. I pray for you and others like you to have the energy, health, and good fortune in life to keep going. ♥️

I LOVE how you can laugh at yourself. In Perth Western Australia 🇦🇺 drink bottles all have a 10cent refund on them. So while you get excited that you got “pop” I’m getting excited on the refund you can get after you drink that. We collect and 4 x a year we go to the recycle centre and give the kids the money to put in their bank accounts.

Shannon you are absolutely right and what you do is your business. I really dislike it when someone follows someone on social media and then proceeds to tell them what they are doing wrong and how to live their lives. Don't get me started on what they did to those shoes etc, criminal when there is so much want, all over the world. If they didn't want someone taking the shoes back for a refund then they could mark the sole with the invisible ink pen that shows up under uv light. In the 1930's in UK in the depression my uncles were given boots and they were marked to stop them being pawned. How can employees stand there and destroy things when they know there is need right on their doorstep. Surely if they all refused to do it it would change some minds, and to try to destroy a child's toy, that really did it for me. You girls do a great job and for those negative Nancy's remember you are two pay months away from being in the same situation! Despite beng disabled and housebound I donate regularly to food banks and charity shops with items I know will not be used by myself.
