I feel you on what you think about when they throw out the food and why can't they donate it to the homeless shelters and those in need of food I was getting overwhelmed by watching all this you are blessing to save all this food from the landfills I give you all the honor and Glory of Our Lord to protect you as you dumpster dive I wish you happy holidays say thank you for sharing your feedback 🥺🤭🙏

You two are great in what you do. Knowing full well what it's like being 66 and 64, retired and living on less than 2200 a month we are having a hard time getting through the month just in groceries. I feel bad for families with kids. It has been so hard these past 2 years with the high costs of everything. Watched from Pekin, IL

Its amazing how someone is paid to grow the food. Then someone is paid to harvest the food. Someone is paid to prepare the food. Someone is paid to package the food. Someone is paid to transport the food. Someone is paid to put the food on the shelf. Someone is paid to throw the food in the dumpster. And someone is paid to haul the food away to be thrown away. All that manpower and money for nothing.

Stores should have a responsibility to not inundate the landfills with good, edible food. I’m France and England, they have to donate useable food. U would think they would mark down even at 75%, they actually get more customers spending regularly. Not bright! There was a thrift store near me that marked down 75% once a month. They made more money that way than not doing it. When they have this much supply, it actually works in their favor. Ppl come in for the sales, and regular priced food too.

In California I used to go dumpster diving and a local market threw away amazing produce, now I live in Pa and my legs are bad so I am unable to really go out to these places, but I do keep a eye out and there are times I see people throwing away a lot of food like the mushrooms or I get tons in the what do you call the day old rack? I now own a 9 tray dehydrator where when I find mushrooms or greens and even some meats, I can Dehydrate them to make basically soup and meal packs or jerky sicks , saves so much food rather then have them spoil especially when you get produce that has to be used up quickly, and them the soup packets can be donated as well as I have done on many occasions. Oh and I also get free breads from the local church which I dehydrate either in cubes for stuffing, or to make bread crumbs n such. I was curious if you have a dehydrator? I got to say I love my Excalibur dehydrator! I would be in heaven finding a dumpster full of produce ! lol :) Great score!

In the UK when food is on the last day they just reduce it to half price or less, we call it the poor shelf! If it's not eaten that day we just freeze it

I used to work at AF. Too much produce was thrown away. Meanwhile I starved because the food was too expensive to buy.
