There must be a corporate rule against it or I’m sure they would. It should be illegal to throw food in the garbage if it hasn’t gone past the best by date. Our land fills can only handle so much.

I think the reason they throw away and don't donate has something to do with liability . They need to protect themselves. I know it's a real shame but it is what it is.

Most stores don't donate because if the write it off they get full credit for the product. If they donate its only a fraction of the cost. And usually stuff that is thrown away thats not out of date is a return, and the stores cannot put it back on the shelves after it has left the store.

You would think the animal shelters would be thankful for any bed they could get. That orthopedic bed would be awesome for senior dogs

Oddly enough, my hubby recently found that exact same bed in a pet store dumpster. It's a really nice bed and I felt lucky to find it. I have three rescue dogs and am having a rough time financially. This will replace an old dog bed that's literally falling apart.

The issue is (this may not be true everywhere, but this is what my local rescues say) that dogs will rip the fabric beds up. Not only is it a bit wasteful and a pain to go in and clean up, but it's also super dangerous, as they can asphyxiate on fabric, foam, thread, etc.

Not to long ago, I found a crock pot, heated throws and one king sized blanket, also a 3 tier tray. Put the matchbox cars on Ebay or Marketplace. I'm sure they will have money value. Those small figures are so wonderful.

The squirrel miniature looked like a Wade Whimsie. Red Rose Tea use to put them in their boxes of tea. Some of them are worth money. You should list those boxes on Facebook market place or EBay. Great find!!!

There is a guy out of Canada that buys vintage hot wheels. He is on KZfaq as well under Curiosity Inc. He responds to emails. I've been watching your videos for months and am in awe of your work to fill the little pantry. Thank you for all you do to help those around you!
