I thank everyone who goes through dumpsters and " saves " food and everything else from the land fields and donating it to someone else. And to remind you that when Bill Clinton was president the One great thing he did was pass the Good Samaritan Bill in to law it means that if you give some thing to some one with good intentions and they say that they got sick or hurt that they Can't SUE you so when stores or restaurants or food courts say that they can't give away their food because they don't want to get sued. Let them know about this law look it up because it is true and on the books

Kathy love your videos specially when you go to the little free cabinet how did you get that established and where would be the best place to do it I live in Milwaukee county in Wisconsin and haven't done anything but I think that the little cabinet that you set up for free would be so great but I have no clue as to where to put it if I tried thank you you're doing great work for people

@@sharonrussell4627 I don’t believe she set up the little free pantry. There is a website from the creators of little free pantry you can find if you google it and they have tips on how to build one. Need permission from the property owner.

The stores should be fined for not donating this food, it’s a crying shame that people have to go hungry because of corporates ignorance and heartlessness 😪

I said it before and I'll say it again, "It's disgusting how wasteful these companies are!" If they don't want to donate for fear of being sued (too busy worrying that someone will get sick and sue their asses), they could sell these items at a SUPER reduced price because their extremely close to the expiration date. Offer employees the groceries that normally would be tossed out because the expiration date is nearing. Set aside a day for low income families to come in and shop a special area of the store with items nearing their dates, for discounted or next to no money. Anything would be better than seeing ALL that food end up in the garbage.

I just started watching her, and I said the same thing. Why not mark it down to 5 or 10¢ before tossing it. Give customers a chance to buy them. I remember seeing some Oscar Mayer Wieners marked down to 25¢ that didn’t expire for 4 months. I asked a worker why were they marked down. He said because they had too many and no room for them. If no one bought them, they went into the trash. I have no problem buying markdowns. You can’t beat getting those big things of bacon that cost $8 to $12 dollars for $1 or $2.

My son (10 years old) made me realised how much human can be disgusting. He said i can't believe they kill animals for making jerkey and finally throwing these away. So sad!! You are a real angel 💎🌹

Learned my lesson to wait and watch AFTER a full meal. Watching late at night drives me crazy seeing all the snacks and sweet items. Hope your mom 's recovery is going well. Thanks for all you do for your community!

Our Big lots, they put the almost expired foods, on a clearance rack, it's always picked through , and everytime I go new item's are being clearance out, they should do this every where. It's not only the waste of the food, but all the plastic, and cardboard boxes, being thrown in the landfill too.

I just had a huge score at Aldi's on Saturday. Literally my car was full. I had 7 IKEA bags full plus had to use some of their boxes and our regular reusable bags. So wasteful, makes me mad. Last month the cops stopped me and he agreed and told me to continue.

Over here in England it’s illegal to dumpster dive (it’s classed as stealing). I bet there’s £1000s going to waste and the landfill

Its just so disconcerting how wasteful these companies are when we have people lined up for miles to get a bag if food from a food bank. So frustrating. Good luck too this weekend!❤

It amazes me why all these stores never donate food and drinks, it’s the same here in the uk, breaks my heart because so many people these days would be so happy to receive it, dumpster diving is frowned on here as well, and we don’t have little pantry or blessing boxes, I’m ashamed to say if we did they’d be vandalised or smashed up

It makes me so cross that there are people really struggling to buy food due to the pandemic and yet these shops would rather throw it away! There must be homeless shelters who could use it! But at least you save some of it Cathie.

I don’t know if I would trust the cheese if they leave the meat in the back they may leave the cheese too. Thank you for what you do it’s such a shame that all that food goes to waste when our elderly or limited income folks could use it, very sad.
