Dumpster Diving Near Campus - Move Out is Almost Here!!

Hey y’all and welcome back!! Still no big haul away dumpsters at our local college yet, but we had great luck dumpster diving at the student apartments near campus. You can definitely tell people are starting to move out!
We will be going back out every day so stay tuned and we’ll be sure to bring you along for all the college move out fun! As always, thank you so much for watching and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hi y'all!! There weren't any haul away dumpsters at the local college yet, but we had great luck diving at the student apartments near campus. I got a purple one of those sequin pillows brand new in the package DD two years ago. While my friend and I were driving home we thought the cops were trying to pull us over, turned out the sun was hitting the pillow just right and it looked like sirens of a police car. It was hilarious

I wouldn't put it in the washing machine to wash it.

Perhaps one of those mesh laundry bags to wash it but protect it because of the sequins. It might still be damaged in the wash however washing it with some blanket or towels around it would be OK one time.

Snake plant. They can grow to giants. Yes!!!! Replant that. I have a dozen little starters that are from one broken leaf. He is just in need of a little TLC

Snake plants are resilient.. u can take the broken leaf and just stick it in the dirt and it will sprout roots

Plant has many names. One is mother in law tongue. That plants cleans the air.

The plant will do well in your garden where you live otherwise it needs a bigger pot. Good haul.

Agree, but it also looks like whomever runs this book box was severely slacking on the job! They should probably check it every or every other day during graduation time.

Those covers on those pillows zip off so they r easier to wash & you could get some new stuffing to go back in them

That is a snake plant. Really easy to care for. Just repot it and put in indirect light and only water when the soil gets dry.

Great to see you both rescuing dishes, pans and bowls, etc. People will buy used kitchen for camping, arts & crafts or anything. Thank you always for diving and rescuing wonderful things!

Great finds today! The Prismacolor pencils you found among the art supplies are an extra great find (a box of 24 pencils costs around $24!!!). Hope the appliances work!

I don't know if you have carpeting at all in your home but with having a cat that shampooer will come in handy cause it seems after a certain age cats tend to puke a lot due to hairballs and whatnot. And just generally eating too fast. So if that shampooer works I would consider keeping it. 😂

It is college move out season and they already stared throwing away perfectly good trash cans and laundry baskets and I still have my broken ones since years ago. 😂😅 Thank you for saving this stuff from the trash. I am sad about all the wet books that couldn’t be saved anymore. 😪

Hi Alex and Kelly. That was a lot of fun! Surprising finds after the rain, so glad you could save the art supplies but it was SO SAD about the textbooks!!! ☹️ I felt awful seeing them go to waste!! Ugh!!! And Bones.... well, he's movin' on. Lol!!! 🐈🥰💕🥰

That plant is very hardy and is known by multiple names (sansavera, snake plant, Mother in Law's tongue). LOL! I heard you say the name near the end!

just let the appliances dry COMPLETELY and then test them. i set some stuff on a heat/ac vent to dry them a bit more quickly. good luck.

A word of caution, the snake plant you found, is a lovely plant, but it's very toxic for cats and dogs. It makes them really sick. I will be anxious to hear if any of the rain-soaked appliances still work. You really scored on the craft supplies! Those Prismacolor pencils are really expensive and one of the better brands. I used them for adult coloring books. Hi Bones! 😻
