Mike, that’s a Sony PVM (professional video monitor), the thing you called a old school monitor could be worth serious money depending on the model, they’re very expensive pieces of equipment used in studios and have huge resell value in the retro video game community!! Like, potentially very very valuable potentially hundreds or in the thousands.

Gamer here also. That Sony BVM TV is potentially worth its weight in gold. I got 2 of them for free when someone was clearing their studio, and have already been offered $2000 for one of them (I didn't sell). These things are like classic cars for retro gamers. Even if it is broken, you'll still get hundreds for it. If it works and you can get into the menu, look for the operational hours. If you've got less than 20,000 hours operational time, you've just scored big time.

Good spaceship parts. From my calculations; he needs: a Turbo pump, gyroscope, and maybe something better than gas cans for LOX... that's why he's so mad when he finds plastic gas cans 🤣

Great video Mike, keep up the good work. Security at these places I know can be tough on a person , I just wish they would look at it like I do. All this stuff would have ended up in a landfill somewheres to deteriate in maybe the next 200 years. So, thank you Mike for doing your part in saving our home called EARTH.

Greetings from the uk. Those battery back-ups are worth good money. much more than just scrap. The only thing that really goes wrong with them is the batteries need replacing every now and then. I agree with jd that monitor was a good find.

nah that's all most likely just nickel-cadmium or lead acid batteries. Not worth the hassle as the cadmium should be considered hazardous waste. If they're 18650 cells maybe, but even then they would be REALLY old, and likely be at the end of life anyways.

Those fanasy books are part of a set if you look them up on line and have the set i believe theres 5 or 7 of them in the set. The set has some resale value! Keep digging love the videos!!!!

Mike if your a book reader at all I have a suggestion, at 9:30 on the vid you picked up a book by Terry Brooks called Running with the Demon it is really good. If I’m correct I think I saw Night of the Word which is the sister book to Running with the Demond. These are fantasy type books but not so out there that they become hard to follow. Just my suggestion, I enjoy your vids tremendously but the best part for me is watching someone who has integrity! Thanks Mike 😁

For books, you ought to consider getting an Amazon seller account. I buy certain books for my library and often new ones are too expensive. They have a used book option where sellers list it and condition for usually much reduced prices. I've had good luck with used books that way. You can at least see the value and something you're selling for .25 maybe worth quite a bit more. You could still be the cheapest and sell it that way.

that Sony PVM / BVM would go for serious coin for retro video gamers. like previous commenters have said. depending on the model. anywhere from 3-400 up to 1,000. hit up some retro gaming shops and ask around. or put it up on marketplace

Looks like a whole AV rack got scrapped, some HDBit-T stuff there too for sending HD video over Cat-wire as you call it ;) Cameras were likely from a video conferencing setup of old skool. Never ceases to amaze me the number of UPS's you retrieve, some are better than the one I have !! c'mon people put new batteries in this stuff.

11:38 Probably some guy who lost one itty-bitty part of that model Corvette that made him throw it away, or probably lost interest. In any case, those could be sold for parts, in case some other guy with the same Revell kit had a similar issue. 14:17 That monitor could be worth a lot of money resale. That's already a collector's item, especially that it's a Trinitron Sony monitor.
