I’m cautiously optimistic for this. As much as I like Dune in its literary form and recent film adaptions I must say that spinoffs on television can often be a hit or a miss. But from this teaser I can tell the production looks good and premise is an interesting one. Let’s hope it lives up to the reputation that the movies have garnered.

I would urge caution in comparing a 2000’s sci fi project to modern “television” which has MUCH higher budgets.

Wonder how long into the first episode before the first flesh will be shown? Seems that's all they can sell new series with these days. If the series is any good they shouldn't need to show any at all. We can but hope.

Obviously... DUNE is big story, compressing into feature length takes away some details.. if done well, Series should do the story some justice

Imagine picking the most boring 'Game of Thrones'-esque era from 80'000 years of content just so you could focus on girl power. Everything from from the the Butlerian J to the God King Leto the Second is far more interesting. Not only that but shifting out the focus of the Quizat Haderach for a "sister on the throne" as if no one was going to notice.
