And 2023 will have the next chapter! I have watched this 4 times in IMAX and I take something away from it every time. Austere, worldbuilding, operatic and a true masterpiece. What Dune should be currated as.

Saw it in imax 3x and and once in the regular theater. i must say, it was noticeably better looking and captivating in imax. couldn't agree more with you sentiments

Maybe she wasn't asked, but maybe she declined to do so. Doing promotion is exhausting and probably even boring after a while. Let alone when you are over 75.

So glad Timothee Chalamet got cast as Paul, not only to do the character justice but to get his first big film break. He interviews so well too like someone much older.

Be reasonable people, Captain, this is the best thing that was and is on KZfaq!No one conducts such an analysis of love and presentation of the material.His level is higher than that of the directors of many modern films.

So the Baron floating wasn't a special effect. He just does that in real life. xD

He was floating because he needed to wear a suspender belt in order to carry his bulk. It wasn't explained well in the movie.

I missed the voice amplifying weapon Frank Herbert described and Lynch displayed in his version of Dune. Instead I found a friendly referrence to the movie Blue Velvet by Lynch.

Such a shame Liet Kynes died already in the first part. She was one of my top favourite characters in the movie. To be honest at first I didn't like the idea of them gender swapping the character, but they did such an awesome work with it. The actress specially, she is really cool and badass on this. Could watch an entire spin off movie with this character/actress now :)

Sharon did wonderful work with her rendition of Dr. Kynes. Story-wise, it's understandable that Kynes would perish in the first half of the story, but I would've enjoyed watching her performance longer. Pity they couldn't work the banquet scene into the runtime of the theatrical version. Dr. Kynes has some great material there and I'd love to see her particular take on it.

The electricity got to Jessica on Caladan. Paul was to be female. The Harkonnen were loyal to purpose. Direction . . . the spice folding space and the species staying on course.

Overall i liked it visually however I didn't really feel connected to any of the characters and the ending didn't leave me wanting more like Star Wars new hope or Lord Of The Rings the first one

the way i experienced it, its more like a documentary of an alien planet. But i don’t think thats a bad thing, it still made me want more since i wanna see what goes down.
