Waldport beaches are great. My Dad used to live there so lots of good memories there. Haven't used the castable traps, so it was cool to watch this.

I loved it there.we stayed in that green house for a month.great Crabbing spot.if u would of went more to the left would of been better

I tried christmas weekend at siletz/taft (same conditions tbh)...the amount of wood..omg..couldn't escape it...said nope..don't wanna lose gear ..and basically no place to set up 😂😅

😂 For sure! Totally feel you. It was tough crabbing. I did lose one trap and felt fortunate not to lose more.

Opposite side of public access right off the highway in Waldport. Both sides are good though.

I like watching crabbing videos. Yours I'd like to watch more of. But a problem I have is the handling of them when not retainable. The only negative constructive thing I'd like to say about yours is the way you throw back the females or undersized males. Tossing them so far is not necessary. It can actually harm them as hitting water is like concrete from certain distances. Future survival of crabbing depends on the females successful reproduction opportunities. Tossing like I've seen you do in many videos so far out when can easily just drop in the water close unharming, sucks man. Treat gently. Eat good. BUT Help reproduction by humanely releasing. I'm a crabber!
