Dungeness Crabbing Yaquina Bay in Newport, Oregon at Embarcadero Resort Private Dock! I Family Trip!

We went to our beloved Newport, Oregon for a family trip at the Embarcadero Resort. We made sure to make time for crabbing off their private dock. We only brought one cage with us, so we did long soaks and happened to catch a couple keeper sized crab (including a Giant) during what is known as a slow time of the year for crabbing. We had a great time celebrating Kailey's first Mother's Day and made memories that will last a lifetime.

You kids rock-reminds me of my wife and i 40 years ago-we used to crab at alsea bay-we stayed at blanchards cabins near waldport-the first time we ever crabbed we rented a boat with 3 rings 3 baits for 3 hours for $20-we got 8 keepers-beautiful family-keep doing what you're doing-God Bless

I go there all the time if you're towards the other end of the dock you will have a really good chance of good crab

As you know, I’m there often you do realize you can soak your crab traps overnight .. but don’t tell anyone lol😅.. oops finish watching your video and saw that you did that… But I do wanna give you advice about the trout. They are not oily. If you soak them in vegetable oil overnight before you put them in the traps, you will have better results.
