This is the most MUSICAL performance of this work that I've ever heard. Part of the reason is Latry's effortless technique.

This incredible piece of musical genius was composed in 1922, while Dupre was traveling by train from one end of the North American continent to the other. It was officially published the following year, and has been one of Dupre's most popular works ever since.

Saw him perform this at St. Ann Catholic Church in Washington, DC. That performance made believers out of some in attendance who were there out of duty rather than love of organ music.

Qui d'autres, en France, en aura le talent et la renommée nécessaires pour porter une telle entreprise? La restauration des orgues de Notre Dame et de Saint-Ouen pourraient en être un prétexte supplémentaire. Espérons-le.
