A true classic by the Duprees that can be enjoyed by all, no matter what generation you were from, great songs never die they just become classic's.

In the Bronx these guys , when they was younger used to sing on Dupree Street..hence their name....back in the day guys used to sing on street corners at night....I remember I was like five years old...great time to be growing up....PS..I’m born and raised from Brooklyn, but guys sang on the corners too...used to put me to sleep...

I don't think so, they came from Jersey City. There are no originals singing with them today.

@@angelosuppa7754 holy cow...you are right! All these years I thought they were from the Bronx. Someone told me that story a long time ago..there is a street in the Bronx called Dupree St...thank you for that.....I stand corrected🎶🎶

I met one of them at a bar on Long Island back in the early 80’s. I was in my early 20’s. He bought me a drink and we became Friends. I was with my work colleagues on a Friday after work. Our friendship was short but I remember I really admired him. I forgot which one of them it was which is haunting me. I’m 63 now. Great music

That was mime and my late husband Steve's wedding song. We met when I was 14 and were going steady at 15. he was the Love .♥️ Of My Life and I'd do it all over again in a Heartbeat♥️. He was a brittle type one diabetic, he asked me if I really wanted to be his girl being he had to take a needle for the rest of his life to stay alive, I didn't care I fell in Love ♥️ with the Man If he was still on earth we would of been together for 53 years I miss him so!!!!!!
