@@michaelrmurphy2734 yes he's had struggles in the past but seems to be doing well now. He's been in recovery since 1994 I think been clean since then . He has said himself that he is focused and happy but that each day is work x

Afyer 42 years they still sing it and never sound old.. ohhhh! Just love the populat 80s waist-length jacket back then. I was 11 in 1981, now Im 53 and they are still rocking it.. Love uols DD....😊

As a teenager I was a huge fan of them but i did not have any technology at home to see them live. I swear I'm lerning NOW at the end of 2023 that thery were amazing performing live.

I loved these guys, remember a girl in high school would invite me over after school and she would immerse me into it over and over. Wonderful, saw them in 93 and kravtiz opened for them.

Wow this is a very cool original live performance of Planet Earth! All the people sitting in the audience at that time, I wonder what they must have been thinking about DD. They were quite futuristic for that time in the early 80s. Although the song "Planet Earth" is about our planet, it has a very otherworldly sound as does the video of this song.

Thats the best part though! Also they seemed to do that back in the day from what I've seen, as the synth player was usually stagnantly anchored between his rig.

OK, pretend it's 1981 and you've never seen or heard of these guys before. What would you think? They're energetic, fashionable, virile and pretty. They sound a little like Roxy Music on speed.

Simon has never been the best vocalist, but oozes cool. Incredible stage presence. Although he has drastically improved. I suppose 40 years of practice helps.

I always felt that Simon's voice was just over the line in terms of tone and sometimes if he was tired, hungover or on a substance his voice would slip below the tone line. Still looked and sounded good though....
