Tom loves how the song's guitar ostinatos have the affect of a flowing river, always steadily moving - as does time.
A song from the band Kansas in 1977, written by guitarist Kerry Livgren, one of the band's founding members.
As one of Tom's favorites, this reflective song lyric was based on some Native American Poetry, and it alludes to the idea of impermanence (as found in Buddhism), and the inevitability of mortality.
