The "original" Eagle belt and the AE title were the best of them all...right up there with the Big Gold Belt. TNA had their version of a Bird Belt , but it got trashed....typical Hogan / Bischoff dick move.

This is an example of what is missing in todays wrestling - real, authentic, personalities who could carry on interview and get in the grill of opposing wrestlers. Back in my day on a Saturday in California I would watch World Class Championship Wrestling mid Atlantic wrestling WCW WWF and I would sit in front of my TV and watch every one of them. The best part is how nuts the crowd goes when Dusty comes out. Plus notice they don't make it a point to position themselves so the main camera gets all of them in picture? Back then they didn't care about all that, it was about getting the story across. To this day, the WWE still doesn't get it.

Tully was the ultimate heel. Had the smirk, had the attitude...I hated him back in those days. He's a lot different man now, and I respect what he does with his prison ministry. His shoot interviews are excellent. I saw a video of him getting ready for a legends show, and what he might not have anymore in wrestling ability, he made up for it with the same smug heel attitude. I had the same reaction watching him as I did back in the 80s. He plays the heel brilliantly. He got the reaction out of me in my 40s that he did when I was a kid. I don't think he could turn babyface in the ring. He's too entrenched as a bad guy.
