Hi guys today were going to be taking a look at at a pretty cool piece from the Netherlands. I’ve already featured this on my channel in a comparison video but I think this deserves it’s own video. A very practical piece with lots of pockets and the ability to add two liners at the same time make this item both practical and affordable

I have the desert version of this I have the waterproof liner and the fleece liner also I also have the desert hood

Nice overview. The little D-rings on the cufs are for linking your over-mittens so you don't lose them. Have the MTP version myself with both liners. Excellent winter coat. Outdoor greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱.

I'm on about the gore tex liner here in Britain we wear our goretex jacket inside our smocks

The additional buttons on the neck are not for the hood; they are for the synthetic fur liner. The actual hood for this parka is a separate piece of cloth, which is not attached to the parka at all (a very strange and stupid designers' idea).

Does that gore-tex liner reach out into the sleeves? Probably does, but has always seemed to me like an odd approach. I think the Austrian Bundesheer also has a copy M65 with a membrane under the very top cloth layer, but that's really an old design. I always figured that the top would get wet and still weigh down on you and might get you cold and even wet despite the gore-tex layer there. But I have definitely seen worse modern designs! Also, I've always had the impression that these Dutch DPM camo clothes wear out pretty quickly - they always seemed faded and tortured in most pictures I've seen. This one looks pretty new. Too bad it's missing the good...

Yeah the liner does reach out into the sleeves. I haven't had the opportunity to test this in the rain, so no idea how much life the goretex layer still has in it. I definitely see what you mean though. It seems like the rain would soak the rest of the uniform until it gets to the inner goretex lining, adding significant weight to it. I can definitely see this wearing out somewhat quickly. the outer sheel seems pretty soft/not very hardy compared to other uniforms but I'd had to do some field testing before coming up with any judgements.

@@GearReview23 Right, I haven't done any field testing either as I haven't been able to get one of these. I had a pair of trousers and it wasn't looking good after a dozen airsoft trips - it's the fabric, I don't understand why it's like that. No rips or tears, but the colors were taking damage even as I used kneepads.

@@GearReview23austrian m65 gortex or similar well made gortex is fragile material and not fireproof embers sparks will melt it so outdoors army needs durable outer layer of cotton poly for durability excellent jacket
