Great video! ive done live switching for church broadcasts before and all this equipment is used in stuff like concerts and plays as well. Lets also not forget that essentially every week a church like this will put on probably 3 or 4 small scale concerts for their worship portion of the service and having this kind of setup and control makes for a much more interesting result. With that said i hope they use that jib crane to make short films as well

2 words. Mind boggling. I have never seen a setup like this, and in a church ? just amazing. Nothing like this up here in Canada. Very very impressive is all I can say. They have more equipment than most TV stations :-) REALLY great tour by the way, really enjoyed it.

Come on man. Are the mean comments really needed? The tech director is trying to simplify what is going on as much as possible to the viewers of this video. Most of the people that watch this are from a film background, so this is all new to them. Tech directors actually know quite a bit, since they are responsible for everything from stage design to troubleshooting, training volunteers, etc. I'm going to school right now so I can be a tech director and I work right alongside my classmates that are going to work for companies such as Clair Brothers and The Golf Channel.

Very interesting video! I just noticed a slight echo in the beginning due to microphones not being really synced, but that's really nothing to worry about. I'm curious about the choise of having the audio compressor before recording, I'm sure there's a good reason?

I'm really surprised people didn't know churches had this kind of gear? Ok, most don't have jibs. I do give you that. But the rest of it is fairly normal anymore for big churches and many AV companies make their living off supporting them.
