There are usually 3 rewards in 30 eggs, so getting 20 and stopping after getting a reward...

Hmmmm... Interesting. That has not been quite my experience. As soon as I get one of the larger rewards, I stop and refresh a new set since I am not guarenteed another one of the larger rewards.

How impactful ice mage's such passive at awaken 5?

It can be useful. The difference is not *huge*, but it has decent potential. Especially as you awaken her further, it could act as something of a counter for Death Melody's notorious energy drain.
