Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, & the ‘Jungle Cruise’ Stars Get Very Un-Disney In Hilarious Interview

The cast of Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ let their hair down - and then some - when they sat with RT correspondent Nikki Novak to discuss the new adventure film based on the beloved theme park ride. Want to know what doodles Emily Blunt left on a board after she used Dwayne Johnson’s personal gym (which he calls the “iron paradise”)? Brace yourself. As well as answering a handful of questions just as delicious cheesy as Johnson’s skipper’s dad jokes in the movie, the cast - which includes Jack Whitehall and Edgar Ramírez - also spoke about the magic of Disney, the epic scope and scale of the new movie’s sets and action sequences, and the instantaneous chemistry Johnson and Blunt discovered from the very first moment they met.

Wow. I loved this interview. Most press tours that movie stars often do for movies are bleh. With this interview, everyone was actually having fun and goofing around. I get the sense that Emily Blunt is a real troublemaker with a good sense of humor. I wish more interviews were like this.

7:49 Emily's reaction when the host said "you are like the next Walt Disney" was everything... The respect to Walt & humbleness shown by her, then the rock telling her to mellow down and wait for the hostess to finish the question before jumping into conclusions. They are truly role models as humans and a representation on friendship, comradeship and teamwork.💕 Best interview moment ever for a Disney nerd like myself.💕

Saw the movie the other night. I really enjoyed it. Was it the best Disney movie ever? No. But it was entertaining and made me want to see these actors and characters in a sequel. I hope Disney will understand that Covid is what is holding down the box office, not the quality of the movie.
