Dwayne, Emily and Jack caught up with BBC Radio 1’s film critic Ali Plumb about pranks they played on each other, throwing fake punches, and why The Rock’s constantly filming movies in the jungle.
Plus, we find out the nicknames they gave each other during filming. Jack even leaves the chat with a new one!

Agreed, and I think it works for him because of his charisma in every movie he's ever been in. Just like Ryan Reynolds, they're both so likeable in their movies despite playing the persona of themselves in their movies and I liked it

well it helps when you're the bbc and therefore are way up the media hierarchy. studios, publicists and celebs want their immense reach and therefore grant bigger media outlets longer (and better) interviews. all other journalists don't even get the opportunity and have to work with 3-4 minutes, so just a fraction of this one. in that short of time, it's hard to establish that kind of rapport, cuz your clock's ticking and you may have been tasked to ask specific stuff. I know cuz I actually got to interview Dwayne and Emily for a German outlet. I have to admit, both are clearly having fun with each other, so it was fun even in just the 3 minutes I had. But it isn't always the case.

OMG! I'm so glad Emily got cast. The chemistry is omg. Her nickname for him is funny, especially for his size. They are so funny and Emily sure knows how to throw the joke back. "Hey man- we gonna stop that shit- the hardest working man in the room" It would be great if Emily and Kevin team up to bash at the Rock ahha. I think the tour should name - Tush, Tits, and Tight Balls.

A lot of the puns are from the Jungle Cruise ride script, that’s where “the backside of water” bit comes from. The Rock did a great job with the delivery, I laughed at every pun. 😁

Just finished the movie. Emily is the star of the movie. Pants! Jack and Jesse are great. Dwayne is Dwayne. The corny jokes are for real. La Proxima is the best cat in the world. Was hoping for more Paul Giamatti(sorry if I spelled it wrong). edit are instead is.

This has become one of my favourite interviews done by Ali. Ali really is one of the best interviewers in that he clearly does his research and then asks interesting questions and just allows the guests to have fun and let loose. Plus you can tell they really like being interviewed by him too because it comes across as more of a fun conversation rather than yet another interview.
