I love this song. It is so accurate. In highschool I had a friend who lost their mom to cancer and then not even a year after my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and then not even a year later my grandma was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. My mom has now been in remission for almost 5 years and the anniversary of my grandmas passing was recently. I completely relate to the "everything happens for a reason" because nothing pissed me off more. Saying that doesn't help anything and it doesn't help make sense of anything. This song is beautifully written! Thank you so much for putting this song out into the world!

My sister died 21 days before her 47th birthday. She had asked us(her 2brothers, and 3sisters) to throw her a big amazing birthday party. We were getting it ready. It was just for family, and close close friends. I think she knew she wouldn’t be here to celebrate with us, and wanted us to celebrate her anyways. She wanted us to be here to hug, and cry with each other. It’s the only party she ever asked us to throw her in her entire life. That was last year May 29/2021. Two days after her 39th birthday 8 years prior May 31/2013 our brother was killed in a plane crash.

this made me cry the first time i heard the song, but at the start of the month (I've had a lump in my chest and i went to the hospital to start bi annual checkups since 2021 july) of 2022, my doctor told me the lump was growing. an issue of the lump growing is that it can develop cancer and ever since i realised my inside mind kept playing it cool but I've really been crying and emotional about it, fearing about probably having cancer at such a young age of 19. this BTS happen to pop on my feed after me breaking down for 3 days out of stress and dylan, you did so well. thank you

I still have my best friend from 5th grade and she just lost her dad and I was here for her as much as she needed me to be for her. My dad had 7 siblings at the time, and an 8 one on the way. After that my grandma got w some one else and got 2 more childrens. My step grandpa bated back cancer and died from it. My dad suffered a lot, cuz at the time his father died, he was going to be 12
